    Which one would you keep?

I'm seriously considering thinning my fleet down to one vehicle but I'm kinda torn on which one I want to keep. I've got an erbe, rusty vxl, and a heavily modded merv (mmp, neu, plus basically every bell and whistle you can add to a mini). I'm thinking I will definitely dump the rusty, but I can't decided which revo to keep.

My reason for only wanting one vehicle isn't financial, but more so because I don't want the hassle of keeping up with all 3 vehicles. Not to mention I'm very limited on storage and work space (I've got one closet, and any and all maintenance / repairs are done at the dining room table).

I really like my merv because it is SPEED DEMON. It's amazing for insane speed runs, but my local track isn't very well manicured so the mini kinda sucks in that department. All in all, I love the speed and the durablility, but wish the mini worked a little better for me off road.

Now for the ERBE. I really like how well it works off road, but on 4s (what I run) it just doesn't compare to the 80mph merv speed-wise. It also doesn't seem to be quite as durable as the mini either. The pivot balls pop out easily (running RPM knuckles) and from what I gather, 6s will basically cause the drivetrain to explode, lol. I know that 6s would eleviate my speed concerns with the ERBE, but I don't want to have to be constantly repairing some part of the drivetrain. However, I don't mind dropping a few bucks for quality parts that will hold up to 6s power. Is there anything out there that will hold up (cvd's, stronger diffs, trannys, etc.)?

If I can get the ERBE up to par in the speed and durability department then my choice is a no-brainer. If not, I'm affraid I'm torn!!!

    ERBE all the way.

What can't it do that the others can?

    That's what I thought.

    i agree...ERBE.

as far as the driveline and transmission being strong enough to handle it, i ran mine all last summer on a MMM with a 2200 on 6S without one issue.

(i used it as a speed truck and a basher.)

the only issues i ever see with the drive line is twisted driveshafts on very high speeds (80+)...cvds cure that issue. as far as diff and trans issues, also make sure the diff bearings don't stay wet if you run in the snow or whatever. when they lose lubrication, they can seize and then cause the diff tolock up until the bearing is replaced.

as far as the piviot balls popping out, you either have worn knuckles or balls, or both. here again, very inexpensive to replace.

the e-revo has seen 91mph with very few mods. it's also one of the best track racers and bashers made. it just seems like you need a few things beefed up and you'll be happy.

Apparently 80 mph like his mini Revo does.

I still agree I would be prone to keep the ERBE.

ERBE, with 3s you can get it to 60mph and go race it at the track
Nothin' like a 4 on the floor and a V8

Really? What gearing would I need to run to get that kind of speed on 3s? I run the stock gearing (I don't recall what it actually is at the moment, lol) and if I had to guess I would say that I'm only getting to ~40mph on 4s.

I got a Rusty and a ERBE. And I've not toutched the Rusty much this years. In fact it's broken since almost 2-3 month and it's not fixed yet, I've just ordered the part to fix it a few day ago and I should receive them this week. I will repair it and my girlfriend will run it with me.

The ERBE is a real blast. I'm actually running 4S setup geared 18/54 and I have 2 pair of SMC 28C 8000 mah Lipo. I've ran pack back to back through it all the day without hitting any higher temp than 110-120 F. So I'm going to order some 20 and 22T pinion and do more testing because I want to get closer to 45-50 mph on 4S. Then I should be fine with the speed. I've not seen that monster on 6S yet but on 4S doing off-road it's a blast I've never had as much fun! And it will hold up to countless cartwheel. I managed to break it only two time yet but both time it was some good solid crash. A full speed mail box hit and another one I hit a metal pole and both time I managed to break the Right upper front A-arm No more spare part

If I had to chose between the 3 it would be the ERBE because it just handle much better and bigger is alway better for off-road. And with the MMM you won't lack of power.
