4 peices of 1/8 in. mudflap all glued together with ca glue. A aluminum plate id also glued on top that the escs are screwed to

IMO is very unclean setup. The best would be to cut the screw tabs on the side of boths VXL off and the tab that hold the fan plugs. Mount the ESC closest to the motors with servo tape to the chassis. The second VXL will be mounted where the EVX is. You'll need to cut the plastic nubs off where it sticks up on the chassis(it where the EVX sits again) and mount the VXL to that aluminium plate with servo tape that mount that to the chassis with servo tape.

Just to add to the tab thing, you're allowed to cut those tabs off without voiding your warranty. Traxxas even provides instructions on doing it for special mounting cases. So feel free to nip them off.

Thats how traxxas did it but I was afraid that the lipo lvc wires wouldn't reach.

My esc setup is kind of like the one in this link but I used what I had in my dads garage

How do you program the escs?

Can't wait for a vid. And do you have any interest of selling your old, stock esc? I need one cuz I bought my emaxx used and the guy jipped my and gave me a broken esc. And I haven't driven my maxx yet and I've had it for at least 8 months now. But nonetheless, great build! Can't wait for a video!

I kinda forgot how to program the ESC lol. But if i remember it should be the same as the EVX-2. The only thing is you'll have to do it to 2 VXL at the sametime. Oh and just to give you an idea. The V-twin on training is slighty faster then the Titan on just normal mode. both using 2x7cell Nimh. I see how the setup if and in the link you provided it's super clean. It's sitting very low to the chassis. BTW I don't think super glue is going to survival long...especially in a crash. IMO you sould copy this guys setup...i know i will now lol.

I'll see what happens with my mounting setup. A t-maxx mount on ebay id $15 and the esc mount is $3, my parewnts aren't letting me go crazy on ebay anymore so I have reduce it to stuff I break instead of hop ups just to have

Amorton94 I'll happily sell the esc I just want to make sure everything works first in case it doesn't I'll be going back to the EVX-2 and KD 700-HOs. The 700HOs are not for sale btw.

Gotta use what's available and fits your budget. Nothing wrong with that.

You can always go back in the future and change things to however you want them too.

Here's the instructions for the VXL-3s. You can find the programming instructions to calibrate your VXL to the radio on page three.

Well first and foremost, always balance-charge them. Secondly always use a LiPo safe sack to charge/store them in or something similar that's fire proof.

As far as charging rate, you charge at 1C. 1C depends on your battery's mAh rating and C rating and some quick math.

I was already planning on always balancing them. The batteries are 5200mah and are 30c.

So I would charge them a 5c? I also heard about not letting them go below 50% charge on the first few runs?

since your batteries are 5200 mah, you can charge them at 5.2A (which is 1C)...

    Buy these

I am doing a science project about speed acceleration ect.
went down to my lhs to get a new reverse gear for my revo 3.3 b/c I stripped it, and thats what i was going to use
Incase I didn't do put something together right in the tranny my mom let me get 2 4000 20c 3s Venom lipos, their nimhs are horrible but their lipos are great! I ran the truck for the first time with brushless and WOW It had 17t pinions, I'm going to 22t for more speed because it only went like 30 mph. I didn't run the batteries down b/c I was having steering issues. I need to find a new way to mount the escs b/c velcro isn't sticky enough to hold them on.

dude...I bet that thing is in training mode. B/c when I was in training mode with my V-twin using 2 7c 3300mah nimh...it was slighty faster then the titans on 2 6cells. When I turned off training I was...WOW. Now if you're running 2x3s lipos and the V-twin is in training mode...30mph sound right. Check it to make sure.

No it can't be, I was doing crazy wheelies and it had tons of torque, it was throwing rocks 20 ft in my gravel driveway, well any way its slower than my revo 3.3 that goes 40 mph. I have a friend that some people may have heard me talk about who has a big block savage and me and him keep on teasing each other who's truck would win. He has some O.S. .28 SS in it and I know I can beat him I just need the right pinions. I was thinking 22t? I want to try to hit the 50 mph mark with it. This is going to be my winter truck and my backup truck if my revo breaks, I was going with 19t for the winter

So my driveshaft went the other day. I ordered revo drive cups and a hpi 78mm dogbone as mentioned in another thread. When I was taking the old driveshaft (or what was left of it) I noticed one of my rear bulks was snapped so I got a gpm rear bulk and a new diff since I messed with the oil inside thinking automotive bearing grease was going to make it thicker, it made it thinner... I ordered a new diff since I had everything apart anyways and was going to use an epoxy to lock it since i destroyed a spool with promatch nimh and KD 700 HOs. I'll get some pics of how I redid the esc mounting soon too.

I got my ******* 5000 mah 40c 3s lipos for $44 a peice today. Does anybody have experience soldering these wires because they are HUGE. My truck is back together with brand new GH rear bulks. I'm waiting for my nre RD Logics cvds to come since the dogbone post I saw in the t-maxx forum was for a short chassis maxx and I didnt know it I ordered the lipo batts on June 14 and they came today! 10 days from hobby king! its a new record. Since some 2s lipos I asked for my birthday (May 11) haven't come yet. I was going to start on 4s but my lhs had some venom 3s there for a decent price.

After many trial and errors on trying to find just a rear dogbone setup I bought the KD dogbone setup for $42 shipped. I couldn't find traxxas ones at a well known online dealer in stock

I got a new body too

Here are the ESC pics as I said

Just one screw on each side tightened down. I used a ziptie hold it down with holes in the chassis.

Here's the truck as it is now

And with the new body, I haven't drilled the holes yet so it's sitting a little high

Here are the lipos I have right now. Venom 3s 4000s and ******* 3s 5000

I just realized that the ******* ones are maybe a 1/8 inch wider than the venoms the fit perfectly in my battery trays

So I was looking at the flm chassis and they are having a sale so its $104 instead of $138. It's starting to look really good right now since the 3905 battery trays wont fit the the Turingy lipos

02hawk, you haven't ordered the Traxxas center CVDs right? I know you've been asking questions about the center shafts. The FLM chassis includes its own dog bone set which should eliminate the need for it.

Also, the body looks great. I'd be afraid to drive with it as it looks too nice.

Well the dogbones were the first thing on my list to get so i ordered them before I got the ok to order the chassis. I'll see which ones are better. I don't think I've heard anybody using KD dogbones so this will be their first review.

As for the body, it won't be my bashing one. Just for show if I bring my truck somewhere. I have a really beat up t-maxx 3.3 body, a 3905 black prographics thats never been run, and my regular body I run now- a 3908 Black body. I liked the new EMBE bodies on top of it my truck lives up to its name

I think this is the one i have

The stock, 3905 RPM center plate won't fit, at least it's not going to fit the entire length. The braces are different with the FLM chassis.

You can hack it down to size and only make it cover the same amount that the stock center plate did.

I want to get a red 3908 body for my E-Maxx. I wish Traxxas sold the 3908 bodies fully painted, not just partially. I don't want to go out and spend money on paints and worry about doing it right.

Yeah, I've seen a couple red 3908 bodies for sale for about $30 total with shipping. They're usually asking $20 for the body and $10 to ship. I need to save my cash right now for bills and such though, so I've been holding back on RC purchases. So for now my E-Maxx body gets shared duty on the E-Maxx and Slash.

The fastlane chasiss is longer than the stock so the kd center drive shafts won't work for it.
