I presume the "little white part" you are referring to is the balance plug. This plug does not get plugged into the ESC, it gets plugged into a balancer when you are charging the battery.

Slash - The 2S 4000 will last about 20/25 mins is a totally stock slash. The white part is the balance tab. Like Dean said it gets plugged into the Balancer during charging.. You'll need an LVA to run with the XL5 so that balance tab will also get pluged into the LVA.

runtime is going to depend on what you are running in, gearing, tires etc. and if that doesnt vary it enough, it seems that most of the more inexpensive batteries are underated for mAh and tend to take on more than printed. you should get ATLEAST 20 mins no matter combo above^

I got about 30 mins of bashing on those with a stock motor, 40+ mins on brushless.

If you mean the little red plug on the esc, then itīs the power supply connector for the optional cooling fan.
Great for summer or if you have heat issues.
Like mentioned before, the little white plug on the battery is just for charging/balancing. no connection to the esc.
