BENT AND DAMAGED MANIFOLD!
Anyone ever bent or damaged a manifold during a race without realising it only at the end of the race? I did, and it happened twice. How? well, i assume that in a race cars tend to get hit at either side by a car very close to u when entering a corner even if youre very cautious .Manifold easily gets bent when its REALLY hot.I've come up with only one solution....replacing it with a flexible manifold.Anybody got a better idea?

I'll give you the best solution, practice so you don't hit anything. Until then, make sure your exhaust outlet doesn't stick out any further than the wheels. The header should NEVER bend. Even if you pipe gets hit, your coupler should take most of the hit. Also make sure your pipe and coupler aren't touching inside the coupler.

I agree with Rick. The coupler should take most of the impact. The coupler on my Nitro Sport needs to be replaced because my friend's T-Maxx hit the side of my Nitro Sport to roll over and the exhaust pipe was just hanging there off the side.
Damage: The coupler.
Have you modified you pipe and manifold?
