    cogging?

I see there are a few issues with cogging on these.

mine did it a very small amount about 2 weeks ago. now it does it a LOT! Im going back to the stock gearing (i had the high speed gearing and tall tires), hoping it helps a little.

i havent tried a nimh yet. but its doing it on my 2s lipo

    any suggestions?

cogging usually occurs with a sensorless motor. it is very normal. also a loose/worn slipper can cause this.

hmm. you may have heated things up a bit causing things to start demagnetizing. i wouldnt worry until the motor quit pulling the truck around

ok... still works. added a esc fan as well. no heat issues at all now.

however... now everytime i hit a bump or do a wheelie it acts like it slams on the brakes.. and shuts down. it will not turn back on either unless I disconnect and reconnect the battery.

    any ideas??

Does the esc light slowly flash red? If so it could be drawing too much current and go into LVC. Mine does that at very slow speeds for some reason sometimes. I have to unhook the battery connections and reconnect since it wont turn off by pressing the button.

nope. just totally shuts down, and will not turn back on. if i disconnect the battery, give it a few secs and turn it back on it seems to work

I think i may have found the problem. seems to be it was my hard case venom. tried 2 diff batteries ( a nimh and a 3s spc lipo) and no issues at all

if so.. how do I send it in? i got it used from someone on craigslist

    oh yea...

i tested a 3s SPC lipo 5000mah 20c, and the stock 8.4v 3000mah nimh. both worked flawlessly for about 10 mins a piece.

the 2s venomo lipo 35c 5000mah was the one that kept cutting out
