Max size halfshafts?

Has anyone done this? I tryed a search and it pulls everything but that up. Just curious if it can be done. If it has please post pics. If it won't work, why?

I'm afraid I do not know what those are.
If it has anything to do with the powertrain of the Slash, I may be able to help you in the research of this, since I am looking to beef up my powertrain.

I just need to know what it/they is/are lol

the halfshats are part of your drivetrain. they utilize the u joints, to connect your diff output yokes to your stub axles... (tranny to wheels)

and i think the maxx shafts are much longer. but that is purely a guess. anyone know the length off hand?

My brother has an EMAXX, Ill go check them out right now!

The emaxx ones are about 1 and a half inches longer, and almost twice as thick.
Good luck getting those to fit without some SERIOUS modification :|

if you dremel the 1 1/2 extra off, will everything fit?

Im not sure. They probably would not fit on top of the A arms.
I mean, they are BEASTLY.

I am about to replace my rear driveshafts coincidentally, so Ill go take a picture of one next to the other.

Darn. I was about to buy some and cut a little for the length issue. It does look close to the arm with stickers now that I look closer. Just thought that'd be cool

I have seen a picture of JATO halfshafts on a slash....that might be worth trying...

not sure if it is that serious of an issue to use them but could you shave a little off the a arm to make it fit? the rear doesnt take to much abuse (on mine anyway) i need to get a in-person look at some of these..

The are REALLY thick.
You would need to raise the rear bearing carriers a good quarter inch to accomodate them even slightly.
I also think the stub axler are of a larger size, so they would not even fit in the bearings.

Still think it'll be an awsome mod. Then dremel enough casing to bolt down a mmm combo!!!
