    Need some wheels

Hey guys. I just recently got back into the hobby and I bought a Slash 4x4 about a month ago. I gotta say, so far, I love it. I'm looking at some tires for it, was hoping to give it a meaner look. These are the ones I like:

My question is, will any 2.2" wheel fit onto my Slash? The ones I was specifically looking at getting are these:

I just didn't want to make the purchase only to find out that they don't fit. If they won't work, what would you guys suggest? Thanks for the help.

2.2 wheels will not fit. I believe some guys have got a 2.2 RPM wheel (not sure which one) to fit with a lil`dremelling. There are at least 15 posts on this topic. The info you want shouldn`t be hard to find. Good luck.

No. 2.2 wheels will not fit. You need 2.2/3.0 wheels. Take one of your wheels off and look at the back of it. It's larger than the front and needs the extra diameter because the carrier has to fit in the rim.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's good to know that not all 2.2s will fit. I saw a guy stretch some 2.2 imex rubicon tires onto 2.8 rims on this forum... think that will work with these tires? I'll keep looking, maybe I'll find something I like.

there has been a few guys who have stretched the 2.2's out. the imex tires you picked above should work good because of all the sidewall on them. here are a few links to some 2.8 wheels,

any 2.8, jato rear, or electric front.

I have tried AKA 17mm hub adapters (which broke) and now have Integy adapters that work great. This allows me a wide selection of 1/8 scale tires. I tried some truggy tires, but it put too much stress on the drive train and I really had to cut the body. I now run AKA Citiblock softs and I love them. I have a track in my back yard and run often. I also have Gridiron's in medium compound, but I'm saving them for late in the day when the track is clean and grooved in. I run both of the tires with a stock body, and it only hits a little.
    Hope this helps!!

Thanks for all the input guys. I just placed my order for the Proline Torques and the IMEX J-7 Wide tires. Now its just the waiting game. Also on the way is a JConcepts BAJR body and Proline Powerstroke shocks. I'll, post some pics when i get everything set up, and once again thanks for the help.
