    Temp Gun

Sorry if this is a dumb question. but i was wondering what type of temp gun is used for electric motors??

I have a VXL and want to get a temp gun for it... so a link would be very helpful as well.. something not too pricey hopefully.

And also, what temperature should the vxl motor be??

I have the one Lordsilas linked to and it's fine for the price. You want to keep your VXL motor temps well under 200F.

You may also be able to find a temp gun through Harbor Freight that may be a little cheaper. I have no idea how good they are though. Be sure to factor in shipping.

That one from harbor freight does not have adjustable emissivity therefore it would be less accurate compared to the duratrax.
