    Tmaxx vs Revo

I am getting my first nitro! But the question is, Tmaxx or Revo? I will not be doing any racing, just bashing and jumping the snot out of it. Which one should I get? I am leaning towards the Tmaxx just because of prices....

    Thanks

I feel the revo is alot more durable out of the box than the tmaxx. Bulkheads on a tmaxx vs the bulkheads on a revo, enough said. Plus the handling on the revo is exceptional, especially compared to a tmaxx. Even If you arent racing, just bashing, you will find it alot more nimble.

If you like working on your truck more than running the truck, get the Tmaxx... The bulkheads on the tmaxx are a weak point and break if you look at them crosseyed. Revo, hands down. A little more expensive, but much more truck.

I've had an opportunity to help wrench on a friends T-Maxx and I feel like the Revo is much easier to work on. The nuts, bolts, and everything is just a little more accessible and user friendly.

i had both and did big builds on both. my opinion would be to get a revo

t-maxx has more to upgrade then the revo
stock trucks the revo is also stronger and faster

as for what im doing next is building a suppermaxx. by far a peice of art.
also going with MBX5T for racing and no on the revo
As of 4-1-10 im back in the rc scene

This topic shows up once every couple weeks. You'll get the same answers here and if (most of the time people do) you post in the T-Maxx forum you get the same answers there.
Best thing to do is search because there are dozens of threads about this (in fact I asked this question two years ago).
    I've had both...prefer the Revo.

I have both as well. IMO the Revo handles better.
Which is easier to maintain, I'd say the revo.
A nitro truck for a beginner would be the T-maxx... simply because it's cheaper and is an all around fun truck to bash with.

I looked in both forums when someone had asked the same question a few month back almost everyone in the Revo forum said to get the Revo and most people in the T-maxx forum said get the Revo. I have a few friends who have t-maxx and some with Revo everyone who have the T-maxx say they wished they had the Revo not one who have a Revo say they wish they had a T-maxx.

I got the t-maxx and revo when they both came out and really beat the crap out them. The revo is much stronger and much easier to work on. I rarely had a day where the t-maxx didn't break and I rarely broke the revo.

    Get the Revo
I got mine and when I was breaking it in I broke the clutch spring. And when I replaced it. It was pretty easy.. This is my 1st nitro truck and on my 5 tank while breaking it in Dang this truck is freakn fast!! You need a lot of room to hold 3 seconds at 2nd gear.. If you just going to play around the backyard.. This truck is Awesome 4 wheel drive with reverse it's pretty hard to get it stuck.

I wish I had the revo when i first started nitro. I started out with the JATO 3.3 which was a horrible idea. I broke over 180 dollars worth of things in the first week. Now i don't break anything.

The revo is an amazingly durable vehicle. I have done cartwheels with the thing at 45 mph and it doesn't break anything. I've sideswipped trees, hit them head on and only broke a suspension push rod. In the long run i believe the revo WILL be cheaper because you won't be replacing parts as often. And plus you can beat it like a cheating girlfriend and it just asks for more and doesn't give up. I had the T-maxx as well and i sold that to help pay for my revo. Both are great trucks but the revo is just better.

The Revo is my first nitro RC. I have already put about 5 gallons into it. The truck is only 4 months old. I only thing that I have had to replace is the slipper clutch. Also i had to replace the front right A-arms because one of my buddys decided to hit a curb at full throttle. Ended up getting RPM A-Arms for the front and True track for the rear. This truck is a beast. You have to get one.
