    Dish Washer

So call me crazy, but couldn't you put your summit in the dishwasher, minus maybe the tires? I put my body in there worked great, wasn't too hot, would it mess with electronics or maybe the motor or esc?

Theoreticaly it would work because it's waterproof.

Check the revo section. All the revo guys stick theirs in the dishwasher. They just remove the BL motor and ESC(which is 3 screws) and throw in in the dishwasher with tires and all. It comes out like new.

I don't know ... the water pressure may work into some places that aren't good. I usually disassemble my truck and put certain hard-to-clean parts in the dishwasher.

That is funny!! Hot water too?

So far, I have just hosed mine off in the backyard and then dried it with compressed air.

I always threatened my wife that I was going to put auto parts in the dishwasher (kidding her, of course). I wonder how she would react to a monster truck in there? hahahaha!

Search dishwasher in the revo section. Lots of guys do it. So now you know. You can also adjust the dishwashers temprature and all that stuff.... well you can on my Kitchen Aid one.

I understand and I am not doubting you at all, however I know from several decades of racing off-road motorcycles; bearings and such do not like water, especially high pressure water.

Summit in the dishwasher? My gut tells me this is a bad idea.

I think that's too much water, for too long a period of time. Besides, I get a feeling of satisfaction when I clean it by hand. I prefer to have control over what gets wet and how I go about cleaning things.

It would be fine... Just make sure (just like after running in water) to go and oil EVERYTHING! Stock up on WD-40....

I think it's at least a possibility. After all, dirt and mud can potentially back up the big pipe of the shower drain.

I'd never put it in the dishwasher. That's cheating!

I take most of mine apart (electronics) and I use a rubbermaid container, put about 1" of spray 9 in it then put in all the parts I want clean and proceed to shake the crap out of the container with a lid on it. Then remove the shiny clean parts and reassemble the truck i have the whole operation down to about 30 min.

    Dishwasher 4 a summit?

Hi guys,Uk dishwashers use centrifugal force to get the dishes clean,I was told at school it was centrepetal force ,Being me ,and knowing I was right .I kept telling the teacher he was wrong,He got me suspended from school for a dodgy hair cut ,I was off school for a couple of months,I kept recutting it Anyway the water force in a UK washer'd be fine, but I'd not use the detergent,it can take anodizing off if used neat. You americans don't have the poo issue then? Its everywhere you go in the UK, WE should have moved over there in 1979,but we were transfered here ,pooville!
