    Slash 4x4 esc mount

    looking for some instructions on how to make a carbon fiber, sheetl metal or something along thise lines of material so i will be able to make a place where i will be able to mount a esc other than a velineon or MMM. Thanks in advance!

    I would use lexan or aluminum. Light weight and sturdy. If I used lexan, I would use tire glue and mount esc to it once I got it cut out.
    Drive it like you stole it or leave it shelved

    I used the VXL as a template to cut a mount out of lexan. Then a body reamer to make screw holes. double sided tape to mount the MMPro. done.

    i did the same thing but i made it out of abs plastic

    Abs is stuff they make bugshields and rainguards from. U can pickup lexan from the bay for a reasonable price

    took the footprint of the VXL and made from a piece of carbon
    slash 4x4 VXL, Novak HV4.5, MMP

    i wouldnt use ca glue on an esc, i read somewhere that the glue and its fumes will hurt it

    stick with Shoegoo or 3M VHB tape

    someday you may wish to debond the items

    superglue is also very brittle and don't survive sudden hard shocks
