    Street wheels

Hi, I almost gone crazy looking for a good on-road wheel+tyre combo (stock talon wheels wear out too soon on asphalt ) but haven't found one yet
Something like traxxas anaconda would work?

The rear Anacondas from the bandit would work on some buggy wheels. Pro Line road rages would work also or road rages on titus bead locks... It all depends on what you are looking for. You could do buggy wheels all the way around or a truck wheels...

    Thanks for the quick reply!
Do you know what hex the anaconda rear wheels have? If they have 12mm hex they could be perfect
I'm not looking for anything special, just a good combo to run on pavement

PS: there are no LHS near my town so I have to use forums and google to find what I need, but I can say that there's some serious lack of infos about wheels and tyres

I was probably going to get a set of the Proline SpeedHawg's (or streethawgs, or whatever they are called) to mount on my Titus Beadlocks for high-speed runs.

Anacondas are direct fit for Merv (as all the other Rustler wheels). They have 12mm hex. But I wasn't impressed much with Anacondas' performance on Merv (bad grip). But maybe it will improve when temperature will raise, as they need to be hot to get grip (and it's around 0 degrees celsius here).

    Good to know
Do you confirm that they balloon (or not)?

I LOVE the HPI Vintage Performance tires with the vintage wheels. Runs well, great grip and controlability and shallow tread hard compound works well on streets.

My friend have them for the moment so i cant measure exactly..., but they are slightly smaller than the original talons, may be 1/8 of inch smaller maximum.

I got them on ebay, they are discontinued but theres some set left that show up on ebay sometimes...

crfrider please post a link where I can order those wheels.
My lhs had 1 set and the rims were ugly.. I'd need 2 sets anyway.. They were white so I guess I could paint them red to match the car but yours look way nicer

Update: tracer wheels don't have hex, then they aren't a direct fit

Why can't you just install those Tracer wheels without using the hexes? That slot looks like it'll slide right over the hex-pin. Just put the wheel on, then cinch it down?

    Already tried and:
1- the axle isn't long enough
2- the pins are too small
3- the center part of the wheel rubs against the axle-carrier

Now I'm planning to do some mods...

After some mods (pictures coming soon) today I finally tested the anacondas: on wet asphalt they quite impressed me, good grip and balance

    Mods:

And during the past week-end I could test them on dry asphalt: they were like glue
