A story and a question
Well yesterday my buddy I run nitro with came over and we pulled my slash out to see how much trouble we could get into with it. Well we were jumping a small ramp in front of my house nothing special just having fun. All was going well and I started to bust him cause he missed the ramp a few times and then I witnessed IMO a historic jump. As he began to enter the ramp, I would say hlf speed or better) the board snapped when the truck was half way up changing the direction of the truck sending it ( i am 6'3 ) min of 5 feet above my head. While in the air it stopped. It felt like time stopped and someone just hit pause. As the truck stood in the air for appox 1 or 2 sec it was just a amazing sight. and then it landed and oh boy did it break. snapped the right rear axle carrier front shock caps front axle carrier and pivot ball. Now the best thing I still cant figure out why this but NONE OF THE AXLE'S ARE BENT. I have been jumping this thing and I guess I am blessed with good axle's.
The question is the rear of my truck now squats down and gives the Detroit lean affect. We rebuilt the shocks last night changed to a heavier shock oil and it still does the same. Looked over the whole truck and nothing is broke ( what was was replaced) Traxxas say the springs need to be broken in. If they are not broken in after all the jumping I have done I dont know what to say. They also said use the shims to stiffen them up. The truck never leaned before the jump. Unless the worn in too much and need to be shimmed. Any input would be great
