So i have 2 Radios that came in my rusty/slash. One has a rx.
if i were to trade them in, how much would i have to pay for the 2.4?

Go to www.traxxas.com and check the power up link, select Ruster/Slash and it will tell you. FYI, you can outright purchase a Link system for the same or less then the power up and keep your old radio.Originally Posted by traxxas4fun
what do you mean? i can outright purchase it? for less than 60 bucks? a traxxas system new?
I do not think the Power-up 2.4gHz radios are the newest 2.4gHz Link system with model memory .... so just be aware of this.
Anbody know for sure??
I make tap adapters and power harnesses.
i dont care, i just run my traxxas am radio in my cc-01 scaler and would rather have 2.4Originally Posted by Hughes500Bob
One link system can link up to 20 vehicles (I'm pretty sure). You said you had a Rusty and a Slash. You would have to re-bind each time you switched is all I'm saying with the old system. Still a good deal!!

no i HAD a slash, not anymore.. i have a tower tatic 2.4 in my rusty, im just wanting a 2.4 for my scaler..
Factor in shipping it back to Traxxas and you are close, the old 2.4GHz shouldn't be a problem, the new Link are going for between 70-85.Originally Posted by traxxas4fun
powerup site shows with shipping 67.50 .. that doesnt include what it costs for you to ship it to them. I was going to do the same, until i found one on line, for 71 .. plus 8 bucks shipping .. and it is the LINK 2.4 .. the power up ones arent, least they werent when i emailed them last week and asked .
So for practically the same price give or take a buck or too , i get to keep the orig radio also .

Does anyone know if Traxxas is going to do power up with the link system in the near future? Also is the Link that much better of a transmitter then the 2.4??? I have multiple rc vehicles too.
Ryan
from my understanding, the link would be very beinificial if you had multi rcs and wanted to use only 1 transmitter, all you need to do is buy multiple recievers.
Not sure on if they will offer Link in the POWER UP .. i thought i read somewhere that after march they might ?!? but not sure.

I personally don't think anything on the power up program is a good deal...
PLEASE do not PM me and immediately go offline :p
1st-I've been wondering the same thing, still no response from TraxxasOriginally Posted by cliffdawg
2nd-Yes, I think it is a better transmitter for the reasons listed in the following post:

It can be, depends on several things.Originally Posted by SirSlash4x4
If you are going pay for shipping and all that, the price can come to about the same as just buying a new one. But you can also take it to a participating dealer and avoid shipping altogether. Depends on what radio,
Like this radio:

You can save about $50 through power up:
