I know what the next big release from Traxxas will be

I know what the next big release from Traxxas will be.

I was hoping for a 1/8 waterproof sensored brushless esc but by looking at the home page

"Traxxas Attacks supercross with back to back wins"

Im thinking a motor cross bike (to show up that duratrax dx450)
With the slash selling so well based on a true racing platform, they could be thinking the same with a motorcross platform.????

I notice he's a Monster rider, any more Traxxas logos then the ones on the side of the helmet? Nothing like capitalizing on marketing.

I've been wanting a Sport Bike since '07 or so. One like this; I've been holding off/hesitant on getting the TTiger, but if Traxxas dare start producing those I would get it in no time.

    I prefer 1/10 over 1/8. The slash is 1/8 isn't it?

The proportions are off, but the Slash is much closer to 1/8, or a little larger, than 1/10th scale. It's hard to get exact, since a full-size short course truck would be wider than a stock truck.

The Traxxas website doesn't even list a specific scale for the Slash. The bodies on racing trucks like the Rustler are pretty close to 1/10th scale, but the wheels have been about twice as wide on those for 20 years now; have you ever seen an 80" wide pickup truck with 24"x48" wheels sticking out to 130" wide? The truck looks much more to-scale, which is the most important thing.

Not that it matters, since there never was a class it was trying to fit into in the first place. Have some kind of overall dimensions would be best for a new class to take off, but I doubt that's really of a concern to every company making a short course truck; very few cars or trucks sold ever actually get raced on a track.

A 'pede 4x4 would be a great idea. Single battery waterproof VXL 2.4 radio or sell as a roller to. Add alittle room in the battery compartment. Or they could set it up to be more like a 1/10 truggy. Either way I'd get one.

I'm willing to bet that the next new thing to come from traxxas might/will be either a desert truck. They might do a trophy truck or a class 1 buggy design, now I would by one of those!!

Maybe there would be a big enough market IF they made it fully capable of operation in sand, grass and maybe even able to skim water. mmhmmmm

Seeing as how 90% of the parts of the Slash and 4X4 Slash are interchangable with other 1/10 models it IS a 1/10 as per TRX and other sources. Assiocated makes a 1/8 SC model that is BIGGER then the Slash Breed. Althogh I do agree that the SLASH and SC truck in general fall into there own class. BUT MAN ARE THEY FUN TO BEAT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must say, those Slash 4x4 trucks looks sweet!

Talk about attention to detail. I just love the design of it!

To bad I don't have the money for it now though. Nevertheless, Good Job Traxxas.
