The new receiver box (the one on the right)...
What do you mean "new" receiver box? They both look the same.

    Slipper with aluminum pads...
Where did you get the aluminum pads for the clutch?

It looks like you have a good start on a great truck. Good luck.

The new receiver box (the one on the right) has like a small transparent hole on the top so you can see the green/red light from the receiver...

And, I got the complete slipper with aluminum pads from eBay for $10...

It's sadistic to post pics of nice parts and not to see the build beginning
But I think it's the same frustration for you

Hey Popoxx, hahaha, you're right!!! Well, now, this is the funny and interesting part, my own chassis design...

This chassis is LiPo ready for two 3S 5000mAh LiPo batteries... Nothing to add, modify or cut to make the LiPos fit like in all aftermarket expensive chassis...

Until it's ready, I'm making them (laser cut) on transparent plastic because it's cheaper... When it's ready, I'll use a 4mm aluminum plate...

It's still under construction and there are a few minor details to correct, but, so far, I like it...

    Hope you like it too...

    Daniel.

PS: that truck is my E-Maxx V-Twin, I'll put it back together after I finish this project...

Wow awesome work ! I like

Other chassis option : KD LCG (http://204.186.93.64/NewE-maxx-LCGChassisChassis.htm) or G4 (http://www.gorillamaxx.com/). But sure a home-made chassis is cooler !! (with the appropriate tools ans alu ).
I see notches for straps; what about boxes ? It will be safer for your packs no ?

(Don't forget that : http://monster.traxxas.com/showpost....3&postcount=30. But maybe it works for you).

Yes, I remember, I asked you about those BLS451 servos long time ago but they are like $109 now, I didn't want to spend twice that on two servos...

Well, I'm still working on the chassis but I have another new part... The CC Blower from Castle... Looks cool but it's made from plastic...

And, a short video... It's pretty loud and pushes a lot of air...

I'm dying black all the gray (grey) parts this weekend, so, I'll post more pictures soon...

Got more stuff, driveshafts from the Summit...

These are expensive!!! Also, I'm planning to modify and use the short one as a center rear driveshaft...

    Hey Guys,

Got a question regarding the bulkheads, check the picture so you know what I'm talking about...

Those 4 holes have M3 threads on them... Aren't they supposed to be pass through holes??? Should I drill them again with an M3 drill???

    Thanks!

    Daniel.

Well, I'll leave the threads on the bulkheads for now...

I got the servos today, and I like them!!! They are a little faster and much stronger than a 2070 servo... (0.14 sec/60 and 194.5 oz-in/14Kg-cm @ 6 volts)...

And, a comparison with a 2070 servos... They look pretty much the same on the outside...

    More to come...

Nice build thread you have going here. It'll be interesting to see the end results.

I was looking at mjosparky's BlackMaxx thread yesterday and that one came out pretty nice too.

It's also nice that you're showing all the parts laid out (with a coin for size comparison). I find a lot of RC parts makers don't provide enough photos for my taste, or with the parts compared to something existing.

So why the center differential? Is the point of it to reduce wheelies so the front wheels can grip more (more power to the ground)?

Is there any difference with the Summit drive shafts? I thought they were all the same (3905/3/8 E-Maxx, E-Revo, Summit) in all the big trucks.

Or am I being dense and you just took them from your Summit?

Yup, same here... It's not that hard to take a few decent pictures if you're selling a product... And, I hope my pictures will help others to decide if they like the parts or not...

That's what I've been told... I could try it first on my E-Revo, but, to be honest, I don't want to remove the tranny to install it... Just lazy...

Summit drive shafts are much stronger... The stock ones from the E-Revo/E-Maxx don't last much on 6S and asphalt... I drag race with my E-Revo on asphalt and they bend quickly... I changed them to the ones from the Summit and haven't had a problem since... Love them, more than the steel ones...

Well, got the new updated version of the transparent plastic chassis and somehow there was an error when they cut it and they super sized it...

Check the second picture and compare the size to the stock chassis...

So, now I have to wait another week until they make a new one and if everything goes as planned, I'll order it as a 4mm aluminum version...

Hope this will make you laugh a little...

    Daniel.

I know it would probably be near impossible to make it work BUT, that plexi glass chassis would make one heck of a 1/5 scale EMaxx!!! Someone (with a bigger budget than me) should give it a try!!! lol

Hey Guys, I'm still working on the chassis, so, meanwhile I have a question...

I want to keep the stock differentials, but use the FLM bulks, these ones:

    http://fastlanemachinerc.com/proddet...LM10200&cat=15

    http://fastlanemachinerc.com/proddet...LM10300&cat=15

What do you think? Should I go for it? Any issues or problems?

    Thanks!

If you use a 5s or 6s setup you should buy standard bulks, because you could upgrade the diff more easily (UE cases with 1/8 diff for example).

Well, got the new chassis today... And, I'm quite happy with it...

But, the area where the tranny goes is still not good, the tranny doesn't fit right in, so, I had to modify my design just a little again... Hope it's fine for the third version...

Everything else looks good, the servos fit just fine and the steering is working good...

And, short video of how the steering works...

    Hope you like it...

Hahaha, yes, it will be completed soon... I got 8 Ofna rear shocks from an Ultra LX One, hope they work alright... So, I no longer will use the BigBore shocks from Traxxas, time to update my V-Twin with them...
