    8000 mah 2s 20c lipo charging

Hey guys--quick question as I am new to charging lipos---picked up an 8000 mah 2s 20c lipo at the hobby store. The setting on charger only goes up to 6000 mah (hyperion 606I i think)--the guy at the store said that it would be fine, just take longer to charge--does this sound right? Love the battery--car wheelies at will with it.

then whichever one I have only goes up to 6000 mah--I am guessing yours does too, but you are saying that it still charges that size without issue?

sounds like your charger's max output is 6A. it is okay, it will just take longer to charge your battery as its being charged at less than 1C.

some people say that when a battery is being charged less than 1C, the truck will be slower, but since it will wheelie at will, you are fine.

you will prolong your battery life by charging it at less than 1C anyway

No I just hit enter-to lipo mode, then again to set the mah to what ever by clicking up or down and hit enter 1 more time for number of cells!

the max output for your charge is 6A. it will allow you to change mah, but it doesnt mean it will be charged at that rate.
