    Problem With Pics :D

    Hi Guys,

So this is my off roader remix with a few upgrades. The Summit axels, and the new HobbyWing 80A ESC from KD.

But now here is my real problem:

Pinion and spur do not mesh exactly! If I push the pinion any further back on the motor shaft I cannot get to the pin to nail it to the shaft. Putting the pinion on first and trying to work it through the hole in the motor mount is out of the question, the hole is too small. And I am using a Robinson pinion so its too big.

I dont know how much pressure a pair of 2s will put on that. Will I ruin it with my off road bashing? How do I get this to mesh properly?

Whithout wheels, it works fine; but under pressure, it might be different. Let me know your thoughts please. Thanks much as usual in advance.

    Thanks much.

    1. put the motormount on the shaft.
    2. pinion on the shaft
    3. tighten the screw on the pinion.
    4. attach the motormount to the motor.

You could flip the pinion over as long as the motor shaft is long enough.

Later today I will do the maden run and let you know how its doing. The HobbyWing ESC before this one could not stand up to the pressure we put on it so they did a re make. This new one actually came as a replacement same old motor - just that the ESC was no good - even on just a pair of 2s.
