since they are rock crawler wheels, they will generally be really really heavy.

I dont think the 2.2 wheels will fit. You need the 2.2 3.0 wheels because of the large c hubs. This is just what i have seen on here havent tried it myself. But you might want to look into it. Or someone else may know forsure.

i have seen a few with the proline wheels mentioned by seattleslasher above, i just checked them out and they look cool(all black ones). they say they are 2.2/30 rims.

I would personally stay away from anything that is going to be a bigger diameter and/or weigh more. The VXL is a nice motor and all but I think the 4x4 is a little to much for it. Every time I run mine it heats up to about 200* F after 15-20 minutes of driving. I might be looking into different setup. That would also give you the ability to run bigger and heavier wheels/tires.

Made the same mistake, bought slayer wheels instead of slash.

Those tires aren't going to work for you because they are 2.2 on both beads, you will need 2.2/3.0 tires for those wheels.

Get Proline 2.8" tires and rims... (Or your choice of 2.8" tires)

Something to think about. The 4x4 has alot more torque now then it's 2wd brother. I race with a guy who is/was running bead locks on his slash. Since installing them he has noticed ripping issues with the beadlocks. After about 3 runs his 4x4 has torn the bead around the rim. Just remember when selecting your choices you are dealing with alot more torque with the VXL 3S
