    Body Moddin

Is it bad for the aerodynamics to cut out the front windshield and also the area where the fake cooling fans stickers are?
i want to maxamize airflow, but without loosing speed

i could see air getting trapped against the back of the body with the windshield cut out... even with the rear opened. opening the rear of the body without the front will alleviate any pressure that get's caught up there, and any negative pressure above the body.

another concern is how much you'll weaken the body too...

Weakening the body would be my big concern with doing something like that.

The Pro Line bodies are think enough to make holes around where the cage is to help the truck "fly" better while jumping. It doesn't want to roll backwards in the air as much.

if you do put a hole in the windsheild, use a hole saw and make a nice sized round hole. That will not weaken the body.

I cut the round hole on my PL Desert Rat's windshield. all I can said is, better airflow for the motor & ESC, but definitely NOT affected the performance.

no, it is not going to make a noticeable difference in performance.

dont make any sharp corners in the cuts, or kiss the body good bye. Which is why I recommend using hole saws!

ok, just finished trimmin it. cut out all windows, and some of the back. looks better, and it is still suprisingly strong. the only weak part is by the rear body mounts.
