    Not really that good of a deal when you consider it's the radio only... When it comes to RX/TX combo's the radio's are always the cheap parts it's the RX's that cost all the money.

    The RX you have shown there from tower is not the traxxas link RX it is the normal 2.4 receiver. Traxxas already said that they would not bind together

    rag6 your correct this is the new Traxxas #2217 4 ch "Link" receiver. Most Slash's were shipped with the 5 channel receiver #2218 probably because thats all the had in the supply line. The 5 channel is probably ment for the Summit. Either receiver will work 4 channel here at 34.99 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...annel-Receiver

    Incorrect, The Traxxas Link Transmitter(Black w/Chrome wheel) will ONLY work with the 2218 RX. Traxxas has made it clear the new Link System is not backward compatible with the 2217 original RX.

    At least tx/rx are on their way! Snatched up the 5ch rx for $46 shipped before I got the tx. Wish I would have known that tower had them cheaper
