    Slash 4x4 PE Carnage

Spent 3 hours at the track today. It was a blast! I did have one little problem, hit the triple jump at the wrong angle and hit a steel beam in the middle of the track. The real axle was sheared right off. It was a pretty awesome looking wreck. After a 5min axle change I was back running. I love this truck!!

They actually had more traction than the BFG's. The track was a little damp, and the Maxxis Tires are a little softer. The BFG's did well after about 10 laps, I just wanted to try something else. They are a decent alternative.

I am not too familier with the Blitz... but how is the offset on the 4x4 using the stocks from it?

They are perfect, fit under the body just like the BFG's, no rubbing at all.

Interesting... I will have to keep that in mind... I am currently running the 1/8 AKA wheels... but I have always "liked" how the Blitz wheels and tires looked...

I'm not sure what the pipe is, I can ask the owner next time I go.

It is the outer plastic section of a "weeping tile system" used in home foundation water drainage. It can be found at any Home Depot, etc.

I have only driven on hard packed indoor track so far, I wont be in any loose dirt for about 3-4 months They do good on the hard packed though.

I also love the look of those Maxxis tires. Are those 4 Rear Tires\rims or are they just one set of Front and Rear?

Question:What is the difference between the 4x4 axles and 2wd Slash axles? Are the 4x4 axles aluminum or something?Seems to be the weak point of the truck and I'm wondering what the difference is since I've never had an issue with my 2wd axles.

Also would like to know if the entire assembly from the yokes to the axle threads are the same on the 4x4 front to rear. Say If I wanted to pick up a set for my 2x4, could I use the fronts also or am I limited to using the rear sliders? I see some sets of front and rear sliders sold separately. Just want to pick up a single pair for the moment.

I have bent 4x4, 2wd, Rustler axles on the rear, they are all the same.
