    My Police Summit SUV

    Hello Guys,

A few weeks ago, I started a new project, a Summit Decepticon Police Truck (Barricade Clone)...

So, based on the E-Revo chassis, I added the a-arms, toe-links, push-rods, driveshafts and wheels from the Slayer, both bumpers from the Summit, both body mount posts and body also from the Summit... And I got this:

    A 360 video of it...

Now, as this is a Police truck, I decided to replace the wheels from the Slayer with something nicer relative to this project... So, I got a set of star rims (like the Police star), 17mm hubs and street tires:

I also replaced all the stock screws from the body with stainless steel screws...

Now, I'm working with a local shop to get some black vinyl decals to do this:

    ......

This is just a test with the logo printed on a piece of paper, but that's the idea...

Hope you like it so far...

    Daniel.

PS: based on DrSkull's idea of the Police Summit truck...

That might be a little extreme.I myself think it needs bigger tires and wheels, just a little mind you to make it look more scale. But everyone has there own idea of what they like or don't.As long as you like it and your enjoying the hobby...That's what it's about.Nice work on personalizing...Your...Summit/Slayer

Well, long time without an update...

First, ride height... Added P3 rockers and spacers inside the shocks... You can see the difference on the first pic...

Second, I got a center aluminum skid plate and added two 5 watts LEDs, One red and one blue...

Built a small circuit with a microcontroller...

And, this is the result... I still need to work on the light pattern...

Third and last for now, got a 32awg servo wire, two 8mm LEDs (blue/red), two stainless steel cap screws (with a 2mm hole in the middle) and added two more lights to the rear bumper...

Hope you like it so far... And, I promise to update it very soon!!!

    Daniel.

2.5 years without an update...I'll say it's been a while. Impressive work with the lights, I like it. See you in 2015, haha.

Well, as promised, an update... So, I made another small circuit with a microcontroller... Looks like the previous one, but it has a better microcontroller with more outputs and memory space... If you're wondering about the size, it fits inside the receiver box of the Stampere 4x4...

And, added rear red lights... The pattern is still not finished, plenty of memory space to create patterns...

Made another small circuit with red and blue SMD LEDs...

And, installed them under the black bridge between both front body mount posts...

This one is flashing by hand, that's why is shaky, but it will have another circuit with a microcontroller soon...

    Hope you like it...

    Daniel.

Nice. I wish I had the tools and knowledge to make these circuits for my "emergency summit".

Wow, three months without an update... Well, it's better than 2.5 years...

I'm working on some red/blue lights for the wheels, and I wanted to hide them from plain sight, so I had laser cut fours translucent discs with tiny lenses to diffuse the light...

The back of the rim had 5 holes from factory...

So, I installed them with 5 stainless steel hex button screws...

Now, I'm working on the aluminum knuckles to hold the LEDs with the circuit board, will try to post pictures soon...

Thanks! I'll have another update soon, I'm working on the aluminum knuckles right now... Btw, I just realized and if I'm not mistaken, my truck could be the first "Summit LT" ever released, way back before the green one shown on RCCA...
