Help for buying lipo's

Can you guys tell me if these batt's fit in the 4x4 without the expansive tray?
If not, what batt's should I buy? 2S or 3s?

No 3s will fit in the tray without the expansion kit that I know of, the 3 cells stacked on each other will be too tall. Kit is about $6.00. Any of the 2s 5000mah batteries at HK will fit
2s is all you really need 3s is overkill for the most part. Having said that I have more 3s batteries than 2s i,ts really your choice 1 of each sounds about right. Sometimes I Get The Need For Speed

My new ******* 5200 mAh 2S Hardcase lipos from HK are the same thickness as my 5000 mAh 3S softcase Lipos from HK. I was actually suprised how thin the 3S was.. this is my FIRST experience with Lipos or anything electric for that matter... So my opinion is a Moo point... lol Its like a Cows opinion, it doesn't really matter. lol

I've been running the 5000 mAh 7.4 Venom in my 4X4. Its my first LiPo and I'm hooked. Gave about 4 Nimh packs away. The Venom has a green hard case. I also ordered 3 of the ******* 2cell from HK. Should get here this week. Will they have a case as hard as the Venom??

depends if they were the hardcase lipos or not, if they look like blue shirnk wrap then no haha.

I race hard, and play hard, so I'm gonna check into hardcases that the LiPo's can be slipped into. I've heard about them, just not seen them.

I don't think you need the expansion kit for 3S... That was made for an 6S mamba Max setup...
