Those stub axles are gonna be put to the test for sure! I'm very interested in hearing how they do in the next few days or so, both MIP's and front stock ones. Goos looking rig, arms are pretty trick too.

No. When I first ran the body it rubbed a little in fast turns. Since I have run it for a while now the body has worn away a tad and it does not rub anymore.

Just got my tires and now it's time to paint the body. I am really looking forward to giving this thing a spin. I got the rpm 2.2 wheels and some j concepts rocx for tires.

The Flat Irons are meant for crawlers which is the reason that they have a soft compound. I use them on my 1.9 and 2.2 scale crawlers.

well here mine is, finally decided to convert my basher 4x4 slash to a MT,

Used a stock EMAXX body, extended body mounts, 2.8 proline trenchers and doubled up the shocks at the rear for MEGA jumps! (stole the EMAXX idea) turned out pretty good!!

I just used some nylon spacers from the hardware store with longer screws under the stock body mounts. I believe they were 1/2" in length.

I just converted mine last night. I have a couple of small things I still need but it's almost done. I need some heavy weight shock oil and a few long screws but I've been up all night just staring at it. Lol ..I feel like such a kid. Haha

Posted this pic to my rollcage thread but figured I would add it here also. The badass trucks in this tread inspired my MT conversion. I spent hours painting my first body and tray cover. Unfortunately, I only took one pic before I had bashed it and ruined the paint. (I will post it later) Recently, I was bored so I repainted that body on the outside. (why it is all black) I also trimmed it to fit over my roll cage. I thought this came out pretty well which is why I decided to post. Let me know what you guys think....

I'm going to turn my sons p4de grave digger into a slash 4x4 MT. Just need to find out what I need to get besides a new chassis. Definately going with 2.8 trenchers on desperado's. Dual shock setup, let him choose the body. Should be fun!

I'd also like to know what is required to go from a 4x4 pede to a slash 4x4 MT? Chassis obviously, but what else?

The receiver box is the same that comes on the 2wd pede if I understand correctly. If so, I have one of those sitting around. X-mas can't get here soon enough for me to work with my son on this project. Going to do matching bodies as well.

In order to run the 2.8 wheels, you will need a 17mm wheel adaptor set. Another option is to run 2.2 wheels. You will have to pay attention to the offset to avoid interference with the steering components, but there are several that will work. The RPM Revolvers are my "go to" because they come in a wide offset, are tough, good looking and cheap, and come in chrome or black. RC4WD has a ton of 2.2 tires for several applications

proline 2.8 wheels and traxxas 2.8 wheels are 12mm hex, most 17mm hex are 3.2 or buggy, truggy wheels.
