Some comparision pics with the stock pede wheels. My new ones are taller and a tad wider.
To be honest I think this is the biggest I would go on this truck with the 12mm hexes.

Went to tape my new tires and look what I found...........They are belted! No tapeing necessary.

ksb is right... Go ahead and tape them now. It will save you work later.

Here's one of my Swamp Dawgs that came apart. That truck wasn't even brushless. I tape ALL my tires now...

Thanks for the heads up. It was too late by the time I saw your post. The tires are already mounted and have been run. One thing I noticed that will help these new tires ALOT is that now Imex uses molded foams in these tires. No more black, soft rectangular foam. I ran them today on 2s with stock gearing and they didn't balloon at all. I think this may turn out to be the perfect MT if it holds up ad I suspect. Here are some pics. The body isn't mounted because this is actually my sons truck and I slapped my wheels on to test it out while he was playing with another toy. I also tried out one of my many SC10 bodies(sorry Traxxas). They do look awesome. Hope my Platinum getes here on Monday!!! Can't wait to install the MMPro and full blown MT package. I'll just have to do some 4s passes as well.
Oh yeah I almost forgot. Wheelies on demand on 2s with MT tires!

Very nice! I'm looking to do the same thing. Any info about gearing? Temps? How does the battery hold up? Any more strain on the driveline?

The SC10 body looks great. Do you have any more pics with it mounted. If it could sit just a little lower it would be perfect.

I can get some more pics later. The body does not sit high at all it just looks that way because I have the shocks jacked up to help to stop it from bottoming out. I'll get some pics with the Lucas Oil and KMC body on it as well.

I have my MMPro ready and I spoke with castle creations today and got the OK to pair it up with the castle/neu 2650. I will probably save the Velineion setup for my 2wd slash if things don't pick up at my local track.

Nitro rears all the way around. Imex has a few sweet looking rims as well.

what is the difference? is it the offset? I really like this setup as I may snag some for bashing around the yard to go through the terrain better.

I plan on getting 2 4x4's soon so my son and I can run these together as well. Decided to wait probably till late February since really dont like going out in the cold to run them.

I really like the 30 series badlands and torque wheels. Thanks for the insight on using the nitro all around. I will probably want to turn both into a MT with the badlands and probably the gladiator body. Has you son been driving with the glad body on? How does it handle?

No he has been using the stock body. The glad body has not been used YET. Hopefully today.

Personally I don't care for the look of the badlands. Sure they are a better tire, but I just love the realistic look of the swamp dogs. I did own badlands on my ERBE and they hook up awesome!

I think these are gonna be perfect. These are the biggest 2.8's I could find at 3 shops. Closest thing to a monster tire for a 4x4. Right between talons and 3.2 mt's. When I bought them, we mocked up a set with a 2wd slash and an Hpi rubicon. Sweet!
