i guess with christmas coming up ive got other things to worry about. getting another truck to add to my stable is just something i can wait to do. better yet i put mine on preorder at the hobby shop and it will be like christmas to me when they call and say come get it... you didnt see me...

Super Dude, I feel your pain. My E-Maxx has been in pieces for about 6 months and I don't feel like fixing it. It rains everytime I have a day off so all I can do is look at my non-waterproof 2WD Rustler too. Only I don't get past the quivering bottom lip. But one of these days........end of December...... sometime in January....... whenever.

Hey, there is an RC guy that works the docks in LA. last time we were all waiting for long expected new release, he spotted them in a container and then it was about two weeks later that they started hitting store shelves.
Maybe he is out there listening and keeping an eye on the shipments.

Jammin/Hong Nor have a electric and nitro version coming and there is no clue as of when, at least Traxxas true to give out a date. Not everything goes to plan.

My modification of your posting and behavior is less related to a specific release date, and more related to staying within the Traxxas Community Rules. But let me get this straight - are you saying I should have taken the matter one step further rather than editing so that you didn't receive points?

I bet they wont be in stores before mid January , look at the release of the E REVO , ERBE , and Mini E REVO , all were pushed back 2 or 3 times .

I think Traxxas is gonna lose a lot of money by not getting it out by Christmas , I have friends waiting for the 4x4 Slash but they are also taking a hard look at the new Ofna/Jammin 4x4 SCT's also . Myself I said too heck with it and am building my own 4x4 SCT (a converted FT RC8 using an SC10 body) .

The exact point I was trying to make was:

We all sit here typing away, and our questions never get answered. Its as if there is nobody out there from Traxxas who is listening. However, as soon as I type a word of phrase that is outside of the rules, the Traxxas people see it and respond imediately.

Traxxas, you are watching and we know you see all the angry customers and future customers. I feel you owe us some communication about your new Slash 4x4...

My problem is simple. If I don't have one at my door before christmas i need to be prepared. It is the main santa present for my son. I will have to buy him something else if the slash isn't here. I would not have a problem with the truth, whatever that may be. No matter what I will still buy three of these trucks.

So is model 6808 a specific color code or a general Slash 4x4 code?

I ordered the Welchel Blue_Yellow but I certianly don't prefer it enough to wait longer for my Slash.

The funny thing was with the guy at the docks is that nobody believed him. It was right around the time the 1/16's were expected. I know who you're talking about, he's a friend of mine and I'll ask him to keep his eyes open.

The beginning of this thread is funny. Tower Hobbies (not Traxxas) says late December and then people start assuming that the models will not be out till January or February . Traxxas said from the begging that they would be out by Christmas. People need to not jump to conclusions without any proof.
