So I upgraded my e revo to 11.1V 3s lipos and I think I broke my revo :S I ran it just to test the batteries and make sure it was running ok and it seemed fine. So I took it out the next day to a gravel field put the batteries in parallel it was runnning good and then it just wouldn't move. The motor was fine I took it apart and noticed the inside of the spur gear was shredded and the slipper clutch fused to the spur gear. I'm wondering if it could be more than that if anyone has seen this before, I have an aftermarket center diff that disperses power more evenly so I assume the diff would be ok. If anyone has fixed this and knows what parts to replace stock will withhold the punishment.
I have run my mervo on 4s and 2.2 tires and 28 pinion good many times. I have not destroyed the slipper yet but i did have the nut on it losen up and started to smoke it. I caught it right away and tightened it up and has been fine every since.
I noticed another post by you about your front diff and front wheels.
It sounds like something isn't turning freely up at the front of your MERV and that may have caused your slipper clutch to burn up and/or the clutch was out of adjustment.
If your wheel bearings are good, you should be able to turn each wheel back and forth about 1/4 inch with almost ZERO effort.
