how do u guys measure speed

just wondering how most of u guys clock the mph of your trucks. I have an old garmin 2000w gps that i electrical taped to the wing to check speeds i was runnin, worked decent to check the speed, but pretty much jerry-rigged if u know what i mean. I have seen speed sensors for nitro trucks (i think venom), anyone using these? It would be nice to have something small and compact to measure speed constantly, without buying an actual $100 handheld gps just to see how fast my revo is running

strap a GPS to it or buy a cheapie radar gun. If you go the radar gun... Don't clock it yourself. You need both hands to drive LOL.

yeah that would work, just ziptie the trigger at wot and then grab the radar gun to check it. Just kidding, that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen!!!! I guess if u were in a wide open parking lot with plenty of room and nothing in the way it might work
