Tekin RX8 setting ???

I just put a new RX 8 in my Summit

But after a couple of testing and some broken parts

I would like to know what setting you guys are running.

Drag brake 3
Brake strength 2 .....full braking without flipping
No Current limit
Neutral Width default
Throttle profile 4
Note on throttle profile: I am trying out the 70/30 throttle on the Traxxas radio. Think I will keep this.
Gearing 16/65 with 2250kv and 4s
Top speed=?? plenty good all I can say think I will keep this with my Big Joes.

Sounds like you need to loosen the slipper clutch?? (1/32 turns out a time)

I just got two runs so far so still trying out.
I just tightened the slipper further it's all compressed now, because it had no wheelie tendencies. (just tried gravel and wet asphalt)

What are you breaking?

I almost have the same setting as you do but I have a bit more drag brake. I was thinking of taking it all off.

So far I have broken a couple of bumpers both front and rear, I think this is all driver fault.

And some lower suspension links too, maybe the jump wasn't high enough and the land a bit too flat.

Now it is the rear driveshaft that has let me go. I guess I will have to play with the slipper clutch a bit.

The Tekin is insane all the power you want and no cogging what so ever.

Oh by the way I broke the driveshaft in a snow run. With my Mud Slinger on you could almost say that a snow storm was coming at you.

I saw a nice solution for a "remote controlled" Drag brake
All thanks to Chet on this forum; he is using the throttle trim to add/reduce the braking. Perfect when switching from crawling(high braking) and bashing(low braking). Haven't tried it but it's on my mind.

The Tekin is acting like it was brushed as far as smoothness goes .

I really like the 70/30 throttle and throttle profile 4
What gearing are you on?

Well so far I'm running 18 : 68.

It is a bit fast but I have no problem with thermal so far but I ride in cool climate.

I will look for Chet set up on the forum.
