Batteries are all I have purchased for the truck. Not buying a thing else until I get the feel for it and determine what I think it needs. Shocks are probably one of those items though.

I have mine pre-ordered for $356.94 with shipping from RC Superstore. This is the cheapest I could find it considering I live in Illinois and would have to pay tax from Tower Hobbies. But yeah, I can hardly contain myself waiting for this thing! Already got the 3s lipo I use in my rustler, so I'm ready to go! Come on Traxxas!

Likewise... I've got my Lipos from my Rusty all be using. As well as rear big bore shocks all the way around and my body. Once it gets here wheels and tires are next. I'm making it a MT...

Nice for X-Mas... If I can get my hands on all three of them.
Ones for Me, one for my Pop, and one for my Bro-In-Law...

They both really enjoy my Rusty so I figure they'll have a blast with these plus we'll all be able to race each other and be competitive with the same style trucks!

As for my Rusty it's becoming more of an On Road toy for some insane speeds and handling... Using a 1/8 scale car body for the looks and front shocks shortend with fuel line in front and rear. Since Traxxaas hasn't yet made a VXL 4-Tec I figure this is the next best thing. And unless the Rusty is in REAL short grass or farily smooth dirt it's much more fun on road IMO...

But the 4X4's should really come alive off road!

I just can't wait for them to get here and the modding to start!

I used to be into Nitro and would never have looked at an electric twice. But I got out of Nitro due to high costs... Figured I'd give the VXL Rusty a shot.
I have to say it's the best RC I've owned! Through 4X4 into the mix and it can only get better!

Plus I've been working loads of Over Time lately... Which helps.

I work for Underwriters Laboratories and we have allot of new products that try and get listed before the new year.

I bought a 3s lipo, lipo charger, rims, tires, paint mask, paint, masking tape, battery expansion kit and a body.
Have the body trimmed, waiting to mask, and paint.

OMG I can't wait either. I am on the phone with tower right now to see If I can upgrade to 2nd day shipping once it comes in. They don't know a price but said I could give them my credit card and approval and they would do it. I need one of the three I have on order for my 3year olds christmas present. As for acessories I already have my MMPro here and the Gladiator body on order. I am waiting to get the truck to order rims and tires to see if the 2.2 rims will fit or not.

The 2.2 should fit... I'd like to run something a little taller but still scale looking... But not to much wider as to not stress the axles.

Some 2.2 crawler style bead locks I think would be awesome. Much like the ones JC shows on their truck with the Gladiator body. I order this body too!
Was going to get the rims and tires they show too... But want to see it first... These things aren't going to be stock for long. As none of ours are!

I know what you are saying on the 2.2's and I agree with you, that is why I haven't ordered them yet. BUT I have an idea on making them fit. The only chance is to order the nitro rears and use the hex that comes on the front of the stampede all the way around. That may do the trick. Just like havin some more offset built in. I have the nitro rears here with the moabs so I can try.

My idea of a crawler wheel... Well Idk about all crawler wheels but RPM's crawler wheels are not as wide as most and will give the tire more of a rounded side wall...

Those are all proline wheels. The top is mashers on agitators and the bottom tires are badlands and rims are torks

BTW, there has been guys cut down the Masher 2000's to fit the TRX 2.8 wheels. It's kinda tricky, but could be an awesome setup.

It's been "coming soon" for so long now I have given up, up to a couple of weeks ago I was going to buy one, now, probably not, the excitement is no longer there. When you hold off the release of something for such a long period of time, people can and do lose interest.

It bugs me too that the hype isn't followed by a release. I understand the business aspect but much of the RC hobby seems to be gimme gimme. I wish I hadn't known about it until closer to the release date..... But anyway.... I only have painted a body so far. I don't have a slash but a slash body LOL! Not quite done yet, ran out of black for the back.





I have 2s and 3s lipos, but I think I may get a new ******* or spc 3s pack. I have badlands on rpm 2.2 rims on my rustler I wish I could use, but I am one who thinks they won't fit, the front hub is HUGE. I'm trying not to get into a big frenzy until I have it to monkey with. My plan is Monster Truck most of the time, and 4wd sand paw action..... I can't wait!
