    Good rally car platform

I was thinking once I get this thing I might start looking a cool rally body that will fit. Thit truck seems perfect for that.

Actually the 1/8th scale Subaru body fits the 2wd Slash quite well. There's some pics of it around here somewhere.

Why would you lose ground clearance just tri
the body to be even with the chassis buttom.
A subaru body would be cool , I just bought an 09 wrx lol.
If traxxas was smart a rally car on this chassis would be cake . I'm sure I'll enjoy the truck out of the box though. Can't Waite

But I love everything Rally so it would be cool to see that body...I would prefer the Subaru STI.
    ground clearance?
rally cars are not jumping over cars and logs
I think this could be a great build using a 8th scale body and some rally wheels and tires!

Rally cars sit a lot lower to the ground than stadium trucks. A rally car body would look stupid sitting at the stock Slash body height. But if you put the body low like a real Rally car, jumping it will be much more difficult. That's all I'm sayin.
If you lower and stiffen the suspension and limit droop, making it more scale, it will look fine with the body at just below chassis level. A rally car is not going to be jumping huge anyway

I have turned an old 4-Tec into a rally car with a vxl... It's insane to say the least. If traxxas were to make a 4-Tec for the purpose of rally (you know have it factory designed, not consumer modified) it would be all that much cooler, by the way there is a new forum just for asking for a new 4-tec.
