    tires keep coming unglued

Is anyone else having problems with the stock 16th e-revo vxl tires coming unglued? Mine keep coming unglued and I wonder if there is anyone else having problems with this and if there are any other tire/wheel combos that wouldn't come unglued so easily?

mine also came somewhat not totally glued, a lot of water with mud entered inside some of my tires (at least 2) and it's hard to take the dirty water out

Yeah, that's sort of what mine did. One tire came completely unglued and one I caught before it came unglued completely, but still had to remove it the rest of the way to reglue. Now one of them is coming unglued again and I have yet another that's coming unglued on a small section. Drilling at least one, if not a few more, small holes around your tire in the center will help to expel the water after running. Seems to me this will also allow more water to enter the tires while playing, but it definitely helps spin more out when you're done.

Yeah I cleaned it with alcohol and used medium-drying superglue, which I've always used on my maxxes and always been told it's virtually the same as ca glue, but the stock factory glue jobs have been coming unglued also. I've never had a problem on my maxxes.

after it dires kinda try to pull the tire off the rim and any little ap no matter how small needs to be glued...i used normal super glue and a bit of sand paper to prep my wheels and tires...just hit up the bead area on the rim and lightly on the tire bead then glue...i haven't had to reglue any of my 4 sets of tires sofar.

So you're saying you inspect your tires after each run and apply a little glue to any spots that seem to be coming unglued? Or are you saying to inspect your glue job after you glue your tires the first time and reglue any spots that may have a void?

there's nothing wrong with doing it both ways. just make sure before you do any touch-up gluing that there's no dirt/dust/debris between the wheel and the tire to make sure you get a good bond. it also helps to put a rubberband around the outside of the tire to hold the bond tight until the glue sets.

    Hi...

My LHS turned me on to the use of Acetone Fumes to remove CA glue. Acetone is the primary ingred of 'nail polish remover'. Look for it near paint thinner at the store.

Just put parts on a grill OVER a pan of liquid... then put all that under an upside-down box for the night. The fumes loft over and around the parts and the glue turns to mush.
