Yeah, I did need new tyres and sunglasses and those just happened to be the ones I liked most. (I paid less than that for the sunnies though and I'd be lying if I said the name played no part in my decisions).
...And IMO the ERBE's still a Revo in a sense - it owes much of it's awesomeness to the Revo DNA.
I'm not the type to wear a Traxxas t-shirt or cap or anything, I just pay homage in my own little way.

An e-revo is just that an electric REVO it's right in the name. That's like saying a hybrid car isn't a car because it's powered differently then a regular car. They are the same thing just powered differently

lol. a hybrid isnt a car :P but no, seriously, with a different chassis and powerplant, you have a different vehicle. it has the same suspension and all, but different go fast parts and different chassis tying the go fast parts together. i know it is based on a revo. but thats like saying all mustangs are falcons because they were designed around that chassis.

Those are really nice tires, I have owned them before, but my brother-in-law is a manager of a Tire Kingdom and says when you buy tires from www.tirerack.com and purchase the roadhazard warranty that you have to take the tire off and shipp it back to the Tire Rack to get it repaired and/or replaced. I am getting ready to purchase tires for myDodge 2500HD Quad Cab and was going to buy them from the tire rack until he told me that. I have went threw 2-sets of Michelin LTX A/S's in 32,000 miles and they were $1200.00 a set. The original set lasted 18,000 miles and michelin paid half and I paid $600.00 for the other half and now they are just about wore out and dry rotted with 13,000 miles on them. So I have had $2400.00 worth of tires on my truck and they lasted 32,000 miles, the moral of the story is the Michelin LTX A/S sucks. I have a set of LTX M/S's on my Toyota and they probably will last 70,000 miles.
OH WELL, YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A TEKIN RX8...

The only problem I see is that is money that could have gone to buy more RC toys.

I have those tires and they are a great all around, all weather tire. They were expensive, but they wear really well and I would recommend them. A little loud, but not too bad. I have about 30k on them and about half tread left. What's funny is that the "Revo" makes all the difference in that tire. The regular Dueler A/T version, without the Revo, is terrible from what I hear.
