    Novarossi 2.5 Supercharged

Has anyone put the new Nova rossi 2.5 supercharged in a jato? They say it's a direct fit for the 3.3 w/ a rotostart, anyone have any experience? Not a bad price...

i think that RC K1d did point to this engine several days ago. i emailed them and they answered me that as long as it's going to be mounted on the revo wich uses the same stock trx 3.3 that the jato uses it "should" be a direct drop.

If the engine specs are close then it should be plenty powerfull for the jato, if my picco blows...I may get this engine...but then again I want to get an O.S. 21VZ-R II...any wayse it should be an excelent engine.
    R/C is expensive...

that engine cost more than your Jato.

I'm a bit confused on the whole "supercharged" thing. How exactly is this thing supercharged?
Some like R/C's that are fast, others like nitro

Well, looks like I'm not going to get it afterall, I snagged a 18TZ-TX (pull start version) with 11K slide carb and 18tm crank for 140 total on e-bay, couldn't pass that up! looking forward to hearing how the novarossi pans out.

logically it "should" be a direct drop. it's designed to replace the revo's stock engine which is the Trx3.3 , so as long as the trx3.3 is the stock in the jato so this one should drop in it's engine mounts to.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to slapping her on the jato. Though, it's being held in purgatory until the end of october by the wife. Part of the terms of our agreement But, that just gives me time to get my THS pipe and some turbo glow-plugs for her.

Speaking of the 18TZ, I searched but couldn't find a good answer, what's a good gear setup with the 18TZ, I know it has more torque than the 3.3, so a taller one seems like a better idea. Any knowledge on the subject?

Probably stock gearing will be fine, I run 22/56 with my picco and it seems fine(not stock obviously) but 24/56 should work just fine.
