Need help choosing new hex drivers?

I'm in the market for some new hex (allen) drivers and I need some quality hex drivers, so please don't suggest junk. I already been though set of crappy ones and I am ready for some good ones this time. I've been looking at some Hudy hex drivers, but they are a little out of my price range. Any other suggestions?

I can't say enough good about the Integy set I have. Great tools.

That Integy set looks vary tempting to buy, since all the common sizes I need are in that set.

I recommend EDS, they are the best hex drivers that I have owned, followed closely by Hudy. The Integys are just okay, but one good thing about them is that some local hobby shops actually stock the replacement tips. Whatever you get, don't buy any Duratrax hex drivers, they are complete junk.

I have not had any problems with my Losi set, but people seem to be really high on the Integy drivers.
Some like R/C's that are fast, others like nitro

I had a chance to look at the EDS drivers just now and their prices seem to be a little more reasonable than Hudy. I think I got it down to EDS or Integy. I'll problem go with an Integy set for now, because of the fact that I can buy them over the counter at my lhs and I'll order a set EDS drivers later.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

search bondhus on tower hobbies (psp internet can't post links). find the 5 piece set that has red plastic handles. this set actually comes with rubber handles, but the pic is just outdated.

The only problem with those is that on the smaller sizes the handles are too small. My buddy has those too and they are nice but I would rather get the integy ones.

I have the Integy set without the gold wrench. I love them. One thing I wish I had known before I bought them, the set with the gold wrench has bigger handles than the smaller set.

The problem with the EDS is they are in red color only, so if you really like red then they are okay.

Yeah, the handles on the smaller sized Bondhus drivers are pencil thin. Other than that, they are good for what they cost. Who cares about the color of the handles? At least they aren't pink or have a floral pattern or something, jeez.

I already have a set of Bondhus drivers and I don't like em. They are starting to fall apart.

I never got the chance to wear my Bondhus drivers out, due to some injuries, I can't hold the smaller ones tight enough to do anything with them. The EDS and Hudy ones have nice grippy handles.

I've been using a set of Trinity drivers for the past six years and have no complaints. Only thing is I don't think you can get them anymore.

I have an electric screw driver with magnetic attachment, I just use hex bits with that. There are loads of manufacturers, so the materials they use and the quality varies, you just choose how much you're willing to spend. I still use hand drivers a fair bit but the electric is great for bigger jobs where you need to take out a lot of screws in a row, and the magnet is good when the screws are in an awkward place. But I guess I use it for other things as well, so if you're only using it for RCs it might be a bit much..

I have tried quite a few brands and I have never heard of those, they may be the best thing since sliced bread, or they may not be. Buy your tools based on their quality and reputation rather than how pretty they look.

Yeah right. I don't even think kryptonite could stand up to Chuck Norris.

i myself have spent alot of cash on drivers. i have found mip driver are great, they hold up for a long time, and they have a warranty! they never have let me down, they have even taken out stripped screws from other drivers. they hold a nice edge and wont do you wrong. ohhh and nothing can hold up to chuck norris! as much as i hate him, nothing can take him down

MIPs are great, but have you seen what they cost to get re-tipped? $15, I can get a whole new MIP wrench for the same price, that's kind of like saying that there isn't really a warranty. Like I said, they are great, I had a set until they grew a pair of legs. I also kind of prefer drivers with user replaceable tips.
