Upgrades!!!!

Ok so i went to the lhs today and i was just supposed to get a titan stock motor. I came out with a 7 cell venom, yes venom, a traxxas ez peak charger, (love it

) and a 15 turn motor! plugged all in,,,, and dang!!! amazing difference. after after like 35 min it started to glitche with the venom? what could be causin this. the lhs said it wouldnt mess with the esc?

Sweet...although..whyd you get a venom..out of all the batteries...

My dad said that he would try that one. i just went with this. so far today on the first just streeet one it was pretty amazin. i will have to see tommorow about the track though. My cousin has a ruslter so he thinks it is way faster but we will have to see tommorow!!!

Glitching? probably make sure everything is nice and snug. Are the resistors still well attached to the motor? Maybe you sheared one. And also it really pays to do research on anything you think of buying. If you had asked about venoms quality on here you woul of got 15 negative posts about them probably. I have no experience with them and never will. Ur shop is right I don't think its possible for the battery to cause the glitching.

Well...as long as your running brushed..the venom wont explode...i hope. Just dont run it with brushless or its crap.

the LHS people probably suggested the venom to get a sale. its sad things like that happen.

the venom will be ok for just bashing but for your next battery get something different.

Check you antenna
Make sure radio batteries are good.

I ran Venom packs on a BL system with out any problems, just don't over gear it.

Don't have to be rich. Some of us "poor" people saved up for brushless. It'll pay itself off because by the time it needs replaced you would of spent more money on replacement titans. Kinda like an investment for your fun

Everyone is always talking trash about the venom batteries. Well I have two 9.6 volt 8 paks and run a vxl brushless in my slash and hav'nt had a problem yet. I have already run through about 30 cycles or so with no major problems. I just have to charge them right before I use them as they dont seem to hold a peak charge for longer than a half a day or so. Only thing I didnt like was the $80 price for each one of the paks. Just my two cents...Legend...

Well..i do have venom batts. They cost WAY to much..for a 7c 8.4v 5000..i can buy around buy WAY better energ nimhs or even lipos! And the worst part is, if you do some searching, their are LOTS of people who had problems with them, like me. Although, im lucky mine didnt explode..it just lost lots of power at once. Now, im saying youll have a bad time with the venom as you have brushed, as i actually loved my venom with brushed..never overheated, gave ample power.

im running venoms on my vxl right now just 6cell 7.2 volts havent had any probs other than run time...i hate that.
But my next battery will NOT be a venom im thinkin' 7cell duratrax. If you look around on here people put lots of links up for good affordable batteries that are 1/2 the price of venoms or if not the same with more run time and dependability so you dont run the risk of blowing things up
(ps. IMO vxl isnt much if you save up and look around online ive seen a few places that sell them WAYYY ceaper than LHS)
