    Chassis / Suspension Parts Companies

I realize that I'm asking this on the Traxxas forums, but I also expect that I'll be able to get a straight, honest answer. I looked through the accessories catalog that came with my Slash at all of the chassis/suspension parts that are available. I've looked at Tower Hobbies as well and seen that there are several other manufacturers as well, namely Golden Horizon, Integy, and RPM.

My question is this: How do these four companies rate in terms of quality, function, realiability, etc?

The Traxxas stuff looks good, but so does Integy and they seem to have even more parts available that Traxxas.

Well integy is not liked dont buy its parts. rpm is great! and i tink Golden Horizon is like integy.
get rpm arms, shocktowers and carriers and trx alum casterblocks if u want a stronger front and rear.
Ive read traxxas alum i very good and so is FLM's. anything here should be good quality

Excellent. Thanks so much for the information. I'll stick with the RPM/Traxxas combination.

Integy uses a softer metal. They are just really for looks. Any part that takes abuse should be strong.

I noticed that the Integy stuff looked good, but I'm not surprised to hear that the performance is not on par with the looks. Seems a lot of companies go that route.

I have an RPM slash... with the RPM nylon, the slash can do things that no rc truck should be able to do! Oh, and their stuff is inexpensive. Some Integy parts are good, but when you go aluminum with some-things, nearby plastic breaks in a wreck.

Yeah, I certainly can't complain about the price, and my local RC store has a lot of their stuff in stock and has it priced really well.

I like my RPM stuff, but I did snap an A-arm the other night when I drove into a curb at about a 45 degree angle at about 20 mph under coast. Didn't expect that to happen...

I'm surprised your thread is still up- I asked about a balancer for my charger and made it like 15 minutes before the thread was closed.

I would much rather run the slim chance of having a nylon-based plastic part breaking over the chance of an aluminum part bending/ breaking parts around it.

Golden Horizon isn't bad. I've used some of their stuff. I have the transmission case and I've had no problems with it.

Yepp..I wonder why no one has mentioned STRC? You can read the reviews at Bigsquid RC. They said it's pretty good and tough.

I bought a RPM front shock tower while I was at the track yesterday. I'll pick up the rear shock tower next week I guess. I'll probably wait and round up a few parts before I install anything, that way I can skip out on multiple tear downs. I'll probably round up a few more RPM parts, then start picking up Traxxas stuff.
I can't afford to go out and buy everything at once. Gonna have to pick stuff up a little at a time.

Wow, that is pretty impressive looking! The Slash class at my local track requires the stock chassis though.

Somebody else has a nice-looking aftermarket chassis as well. I can't remember who, though! I'm not talking about the aluminum swiss-cheese one either.

TTR,Gorilla, FLM and X-treme RC (first one to make an aftermarket slash chassis),integy are the only chassis manufactures.
    What shall I put here?
