This is my track before the dirt comes in. Obviously the timber jumps will be replaced by dirt. There will also be some small whoops in the centre and a drivers stand at the top of the track.

Losi 8ight T MMM
As it stands today, about 2 weeks into the build.
It's only 214 feet of running line, average laps are ~18 seconds. Very clean laps go right about 16.xx, but once you get 3-4 Slashes out there, there's no such thing as clean laps.
Heres the start of my track , in backyard. Not real big, but better than nothing. Still have alot to do with it.Still have to add jumps and a curve section.

Nice course!
These are awesome. This is my first foray into RC and I'll be building a backyard track very soon. Can anyone share their track dimensions, as in, lane widths, turn widths and so on? I'm thinking I'll make each of my lanes 8-10' wide and the track will sit on a section that is 40'x55'. Is that big enough?
my lanes are 10 ft wide the entire track . most of my turns are 180`s . the start finish is a long straight with a single jump into a left hairpin across a rithem section then moguls to a right handed sweeper to a staight into a right turn , full out in this straight over a double that crosses the track to a right into another hairpin left to a high speed left handed sweeper onto the start finish . all turns have two ways threw them . if you cut it sharp you will need to slow down to navigate a kicker , stay wide you can carry some speed , either way , nothing gained nothing lost in the turns . we run strikes and slashes , the track favours neither truck , some areas the strike pulls ahead other areas the slash takes it back . this track is fast and it is not finished , i`d take some pics but its under a foot of snow
I'm in the process of building my track now. I've only had my Slash for about a month now and my wife is surprised I'm still......driving it as much as I do. I have the track roughed in and the jumps laid out. The total dimensions are about 150' by about 60' with a few areas that weave in and out of the trees. Chickenwire around the trunks stuffed with straw keeps the trucks in one piece. Waiting for a good rain to compact the soil a bit and hopefully that will come this weekend. I'm in southern Arizona so once the track gets packed and sun baked, our soil that I used ends up like concrete.
I have been able to run the truck around it quite a few times, but it needs to be tweaked here and there before I reach perfection. I'm sure I will change it often to keep it challenging.
I'l post somepictures as soon as it's ready.
If there is anyone living in Tucson AZ or Sierra Vista who is looking for a Slash partner, let me know. I'd like to start a small traxxas or even a general RC club in the area eventually.
At eleven yrs old, I got my slash. at 11 yrs old illl build my track, send out entry forms, do testing, At eleven yrs old ill whoop ur booty

Just bought the house the day before it started to snow this last year. Can't wait for the snow to be permanently gone in Ohio so we can turn it from a small ATV track into a huge R/C track and BMX track. The track tis 150'x150'

I got kind of a small track, I wanna work on it or USE it but It's completely burried in snow, you can only see the wooden ramp that's on it, maybe I can have some fun on it once it all melts away.![]()

2 Great Places to Drive Your off Roard RC Car ~ Los Angeles
Because I live in the Santa Monica area and there are no tracks near by, I am constantly on the lookout for fun places to drive my SLASH.
Here are two locations I think you will all enjoy. It would be great to see other RC enthusiasts out there having a good time.
I would also like to know where you enjoy driving your RC car so please reply with your local slash bash location
Crescent Bay Park
2000 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica, CA
http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&ss=ypi...ty=r&encType=1
Terrain:
Very short grass similar to a well kept golf course with a 20 foot tall grass/dirt bank which stretches the length of the park and is perfect for hill climbs and jumps. There is also a cement Parking lot and of course, the beach. Use the bing satellite map to zoom in and you will see what I mean.
Parking:
Ample metered parking that is free after 6pm and on Sundays
Vibe:
People love watching me driving my slash and dog owners get a kick out of seeing their pet freak out and sometimes chase my truck.
Kenter Whoops
1599 N Kenter Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90049-1324
http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&where1...ty=b&encType=1
http://www.dirtworld.com/trails/trail.asp?id=12657
video of some of the jumps
http://vimeo.com/13060352
Terrain:
Hard packed dirt with RIDICULOUS jumps everywhere!!! Single track mt bike trail
Parking:
Plenty of street parking but be respectful of the neighbors
Vibe:
This is a mountain bike trail for serious riders so be respectful, stay out of their way and do not damage, destroy or modify any existing jumps unless its obvious that they are not in use. The trail is 3.7 miles long so there are plenty of areas and space to claim. That said, almost all of the riders I see definitely get a kick out of seeing my truck attempt some of the doubles. BRING SPARE PARTS!!!
Just the start of 1 end , will have 4 different corners and 4 different lanes with different jumps . Will add more pics as I work on it

Tomorrow can wait till tomorrow.
where do you guys get the plastic tubing?
Home depot , local building supplier
i definetly dont have the backyard designed for the space a track really requires...but i make due with the space i do have.
lanes are a bit narrow but i can still run 3 cars with not too many problems.
to make it i simply took the spare mower from the shed and lowered it to "2", 1 being too low so 2 fit the bill.

Dirt Track in the woods, Lanes are about 3 feet wide, but I have been surprised at how well the Slash handles on it...

OK, this is to my main page on photobuck but the RC Track pics shows the track when we first laid it out and tilled it up, and the RC Vids are all mainly of the truck but a few misc vids...but the big jumps are 2-55 gal drums end and the double then single are also 55 gal but buried alittle deeper

does anybody know if there are any tracks around idaho?
I don't know of any tracks in Idaho.
My local track here in Jacksonville, Fl is having a track build off contest. I wanted to share my 2 track ideas/entries . I thought about making a rally-X track, and an All dirt track for 1/10 scale.
This is the dirt track
this is the rally cross track
If you like them let me know, I'll send you a link to vote for said track in facebook!
I've just started on a track in my backyard i have about 12 hrs manual labor into this so far everthing has been done by hand so far (really wish i had a tractor). I guess that i have 2-3 weekends of full days left to finish this project. You can see in the background the grass cut short were the rest of the track will be.

yay! i made my new track because the swingset is now history!
