that's thinking outside the box! or should i say inside the box? LOL nice work. Hope the fan works real well. FASST receivers dont like heat AT ALL.
im assuming you only plan on running one batterylooks good though, i might have to look into something like that because a single lipo is powerful enough so ill only really need one side. quite innovative though i like it.
what was that? what was what..oh that. thats mine.
Temps have been good during testing. Plan to race with a Maxamp 1550 2S Lipo.

nice, that probably evens out the weight to doesnt it? looks good, i think when i get lipos im gonna look into something like that.

Very Nice!

Feels even with a 2S Lipo,a little uneven with a 3S. I have to get all my hop-ups in and see how it flys!!!! LOL

thats what i though, how powerful is a single 2S lipo because thats what im getting and im not really a speed freak im more of a general good performance guy...and that set up looks reallllly good for that.
what was that? what was what..oh that. thats mine.
I think a 2S with a center diff will be the best for the track. I could see a 3S working on a big track also.

the whole center diff thing sounds good to me but i run on the road and i have black springs in the back with tan up front and have the front real low and the back sat up a little to compensate for the sag on take-off and my front wheels rarely leave the ground. i have nothing against the center diff im sure it works really well but for now im fine with this.
what was that? what was what..oh that. thats mine.
The center diff will help with a push threw a turn with high traction. And also keeping the front end down.

yeah i know, in the future im sure ill get one but for now i can easily control the set up i have..i do like the way you have that going with the fan though, that was a good idea because without it youd be getting wayy too hot in that box

wow im impressed with that design......great job dude

I just saw that and liked it so much I did it to mine, I had an extra Novak fan from my GTB so I used that and just plugged it into the extra channel 1 on the Rx. For anyone wanting to try it, the stock Rx will NOT fit in the bay because of the crystal sticking up, but I'll be putting my Spektrum soon anyways, so no big deal. I ended up putting the receiver back where it is originally just without the big dumb box around it.

I like everything about that truck. The rims and bitters are nice, the installation of the RX and ESC looks nice and clean inside the battery compartment. I like the wires that come out of the battery vents. Just an all out good clean looking truck.![]()
And the river card, I about puked in my mouth when i saw that IMO integarbage fan mounted on that beautiful truck. integy <-- (not even worthy of me capitalizing in the beginning of my sentence) is land fill matter at best IMO.![]()
Sorry about my rant on intetrash. I cant stand them!..
Again, awesome job! If i get the chance to pick another one up i will have to look this thread back up
Keep flex'in those forum keyboard muscles.
Very clean! nice work!
Thanks Guys!! The Integy Fan(30mm/7.2v) was left over in the box.I will change it out ,when it breaks. And go with a 30mm Novak.

Very cool. It lowers the center of gravity alot, which is always a good thing!
LiqrSicc, are you thinking what I'm thinking. I just measured everything up and it looks like the Quark will fit in there as well.
I like the setup. I want to do mine like that but only if there was some way to add another battery somewhere.
Hey Nasty, few questions:Originally Posted by NASTYREVO

2) Where did you get those tires?
Thanks!
I think I tried it when I got it but it was a little too wide to fit. Never thought of drilling through the chassis though. My single 3s Hyperion pack would still give me 56a cont and my 2s would give me 63a cont. More than enough for a single pack setup. My ESC is all mounted and wires tied up. I'll wait for you to do it MoratiOriginally Posted by morati

Thats not a problem for the antenna for that system, as soon as it doesnt get cut...
for speed runs, we run the antenna all the way under the body to keep it from cutting if the car slide on its lid....
And we go pretty far with them, its hard to see if it go forward or backward...lol
but if the end of the antenna get cut, even just like 1/8 of inch, the range will drop drasticaly...
Good looking setup![]()

I may have to shorten my antenna tube a 1/2 or 3/4 of a inch. Thanks for the heads up.

The only suggestion I have is put 3 holes in the battery doors to give it more ventilation. I did it on mine and the batteries do not get as hot.
Can you provide a link to the wheels?
Is an adapter required, or do they bolt right on?
Does the stock wheel nut work, or is a thinner one required?
Thank you - nice setup,
White Wheels https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...l?pn=KYOW5202W
They bolt right up,a thinner wheel nut would be best.

The fan pulls air from the factory vent make a good draft across the ESC and reciever. I may put another fan on the other side for the motor or battery.I wil see after more testing.

I've converted mine up to a similar setup. Do you have the fan blowing air on top of the ESC or do you have the fan pulling air up over the ESC? I've ran two packs with my setup and it seemed to heat up a little bit with the fan blowing onto the ESC, but I do have a little less room, so that may be part of it. I did drill some holes in the battery door and i'll see if that helps any.
"Winning isn't everything... it's the only thing."
It pulls air across and the fan is a high speed.Heat rises, that is why I did it that way.The fan starts off normal, then speeds up after 10 or 20 seconds.

Relocating the ESC and RX to the battery box is ingenius! Great idea! The rims and wheels look great too. Nice E-Revo!
made it work
great idea OP
