We added a bit to the track. Yesterday we built this little double. The stock Slashes roll it as two singles, but the brushless Slash and the mini Revo take it as a double.

This one used to be a big jump with no landing, so I fixed that today. Stock Slashes also take this one as a single. Its a commitment jump for the mini Revo but if you make it you leave everyone behind taking it as two singles. I still have finishing work to do on the landing.

We are going to work on the borders and piping hopefully this weekend...

Yeah, those I think are going to work out well. I have 4 bright flood lights on the patio cover but the very right side of the track is a bit dim. I like solar because its free light. We are just experimenting with placement and how many we will need.

We have plans for some awesome plywood walls all the way around the track with a black and white checkerboard pattern painted on them...

is swear those lights are going to get nailed by a car, so i suggest something else than having them on the track, ut isnstead like up on the fence and patio.

sounds cool man. good reason for that kind of light, but Big-Bus has a point.

Yeah, I agree. They aren't there to race. I had them out last night just checking light output and flood pattern. I just left them there today to charge. Trust me, with some of the guys I have over, the top of the fence or the patio cover might not be a safe place either!

if you do end up putting plywood walls around the whole thing, depending on your angle with the sun in that corner you could simply mount the lights on the plywood wall than.

looking great tho!! can't wait for another vid!!

I've seen temps above 120 last summer. I wouldn't live here if it wasn't for my job being here because of the military bases here.

That track is unreal. Nice work. I do not have any "local" tracks and could only imagine how awesome it would be have one the back yard. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Being married does ruin the backyard track BUT if you get her a RC car then she can use it

you should pst your track on the web as open or bsiness every sat and sun and charge 2 bucks a driver... then install a sprinkler system to keep the track watered (for the neighbor with the pool) and the lights...etc with the entrance fees. i dont think anyone would have a problem paying 2 bucks to race on that thing all day! awesome

EDIT: and if you are making a couple bucks, the backyard track will go over better with future girlfriend/wife...
