Thanks, Kevin.
OK, I've got these. I have a few guys coming over tomorrow to do some work so we should see a big difference then. The tabletop is getting moved closer to the wall and the lane will be widened considerably. It will improve the flow of the track a lot. I'll get a video up soon.

There goes the water bill and you don't even have a lawn. A little humor.
The track does look a little narrow in pic 7. I think that is the one you are going to widden? But just wait. One of these days it will drive you nuts. Having the track in your yard and your rc is broke down and have to wait for the part to get to you. That just drives me nuts.
And where did all that dirt go? That was a big pile of dirt. haha And good luck saleing that place. You have to step up into the yard. again just joking
Broken parts=New better parts
Yeah pics 6&7 are the tabletop that are getting moved and widened. Believe it or not all the dirt is still back there but the yard is about 2-3 ft higher lol.

We did some work last night. We got the tabletop knocked down and built a monster jump on the back side of the track. We also improved the flow of the S-turn to allow more entry speed to the jump. We are getting good air off it. The track flows really nice now.
Here is the pile of dirt we had to build:
The jump starting to take shape:
What it looked like this morning:
Now that the track layout is finalized, we will clean up the edges and make it look really professional.

Anyone know a good place to order flexible sewer hose like you see on the edge of LHS tracks???

Very nice cirkus! Looks like fun! Nice work to you and the guys helping.
Lowes or Home Depot maybe?Originally Posted by Cirkus

I helped build a track in my neighbors back yard. We got the flexible black tubing at Home Deopt, It was $45 for 300' of it.Originally Posted by Cirkus

The first place I always check for materials and stuff like that is craigslist. It's hit and miss (mostly miss), but sometimes you can get stuff for really good deals or free. If its $45 for 300ft though, that's a pretty good deal.
Yeah that is a great deal. Unfortunately its a regional item and it doesn't sell down here in the desert so Lowes and Home Depot don't sell it. I checked around today and theres an irrigation supply that sells 3" diameter in 10ft lengths for $5. I might go with that if I can't find a better deal.

Well, you probably may not like this idea, but a week or so ago I create a small track on my lawn using the swim noodles that kids use. I had several lying around and asked some of my kids friends to bring over their's and used garden staples to hold the noodles together and create a small track. At the end of the day, we pulled out the staples and put the noodles away.
Maybe not noodles, but that gives me thoughts on trying some other materials. Thanks
-O|||||||O-
Oh. And I forgot to add that the noodles are slightly smaller in diameter (thus giving you more usable track room) and they are made of a dense material. Driving a nail through it may not damage it as much as it would damage the pipes. I guess I sound like a swim noodle salesman

I got really lucky with the corrugated drainage pipe as my father-in-law owns a small plumbing supply house nearby and got all I need for next to nuthing. All I have to do is call him up and have him deliver it to my house. whenever I'm ready for it.

Ive been following this thread since the beginning and I dont even now what to say....this is absolutely amazing.Ive been into RC for a long time and Ive had friends who talked about doing something like this, but that all it was was talk. You did an amzing job and Im sure you'll find friends you didnt even know you had...that the great thing about RC.Have a blast with this track!!!
Thanks a lot, that's a nice compliment. It's been hard work to get it to this point and its not quiiiiiite finished yet. It will look much better once I get the piping for the borders installed.Originally Posted by maximan
We had a little bash session tonight and had a great time. The track flows real nice and even though its on the small side it kept our interest all night long. We had 4-5 Slashes running and it was pretty scale. Fender rubbing action. We got some video, but I need to go through and edit it.
Overall, it has turned out to be worth all the effort so far![]()

Were the Slashs stock Cirkus?
T-Maxx 3.3 | Losi Mini DT | Blade CX2
Yeah, we've been running them with stock power, just modding shocks and shock fluid. Makes it more fun that way for us. I have swapped in my VXL a couple times when I went to the big track but when I get together with friends we all run stock. Oh, but we run 2 cell lipos and 6 cell Nimh, either one.Originally Posted by KCMike
In other news, my buddy will have the first mini revo tomorrow in our group so I can't wait. He might leave it with me over the weekend to tune the shocks and play a bit. It will be awesome on our little track!

Here is the maine question you will get. How long did it take to build it? You will learn to hate those words. My answer always is, it is not done and will never be done it is just useable.
