solved my hot problem

I live in south Louisiana and everyone knows that we have heat and humidity.
My e-revo and slash was runing hot with the stock battery since I received it about two weeks ago, but not to the point of the heat shutting it down. I did some looking on the net and decided to put a opening in the "windows" and an opening in the "windshield". I now have Max Amps 1600 batteries and ran the two batteries back to back. The temp of the ecs and motor was noted to be very cooloer that just running one of the stock batteries before I did the body mod. I already had a heat sink on back order, but now I am not shure if I will need it.

One other note: All I can say is "WOW!" The difference between the stock traxxas battery and the MaxAmps is unbelievable. Now do not get me wrong, I like the Traxxas batteries, but the output difference is very noticable.

yes use the heat sink to! I have the hole in the window and a heat sink and the temps are in total control !

Also switched to the MaxAmps, and it made a HUGE difference.

Yup some people complain Maxamps are pricy, but I had several for my other minis, the maxamps battery kicking axx... on top of that, other lipo I own bluff a little once a while. Maxamps' sitting there solid, and some of them I have them over 2 years now. Definitely worth the price if you ask me.

Some people buy the window screen "net" and fill in the windshield to prevent rock, dirt, or bugs got it. You might want to try that too, works well.

Just cutting a hole or cutting out the front and rear windshields altogether.

Then go to a place that sells window screen material, or a place that will give you some scraps and glue it in the windows to keep debris out.

That $5 or so heatsink from Duratrax helps to.

he just cut a whole in it..........its not really a mod this is a cooling mod

Just to increase air flow throught the body. If you go Home Depot or Lowes' they have more than a dozen different types, colors, thickness to pick from.
