battery hot

after i got my batterys charge and let it cool down befor i drove the truck i took it out and drive it around and just went to see what it would do and this thing is great love the truck...but when the battery was dead the battery and motor was HOT is this normal or is somthing wrong.

The battery might have been dead because the stock one only gets around 10 minutes run time. Get yourself a temperture gauge. You can get one for around $20 - $25. The little Revos have heat issues, know how hot you are getting.

well i have a hand held temp gun that i use for my tmaxx 3.3 and it said 127 yesterday but i didnt do it this time but it was hot enought to almost burn my hand and the battery box on the truck was hot so did i do something to do this

idk i saw somewhere that it said 127f but it cant get to 200


so is somthing wrong with the truck or battery or is this normal?

Try checking the temps before the battery starts to drain down, maybe about five minutes into the run time. As the battery dies, the amps it produces and its voltage will drop down significantly. These low levels starve the motor and when this imbalance occurs you can get heating. The motor pulls on the battery very hard at this point, and will also cause the battery to heat. Probably not the best idea to run it completely down. When you notice the performance dropping off, stop the run and put in another fresh pack.
