    Check Your Diffs!!!!

The bulkhead housings do not seal that good to the bottom of the chassis. The diffs had dirt all over the crown diff gears front and rear.I put a small bead of gray Permatex to seal it off to chassis.I also put a small bead around the bulkhead housing in the rear.Other than that the mini is tuff as nails.

I "sealed" mine with alum tape. I'll open them up after a few more runs and see if it helped. After the first week I had it the diffs were full of dirt so I've been running it with the tape for a couple of weeks. I'll post if this didn't work.

Pictures please? I have my mini E-Revo on its way from Tower. It should be here sometime this week. I'd like to get off to a good start and seal this up from the get-go.

    Thanks!

My advice... stay out of the water...

Is this a water issue only? We run ours on carpet indoors so far. I was planning to take it to the dirt track and let my son shread.

i found my rear bulkhead full of dirt, but not my front. my front seems to seal OK, but there is an obvious gap in the rear. i plan to disassemble it again to see if i can figure out why it won't fit together. if it can't be fixed, i'll probably run a bead of RTV like the op. this is the first thing i've seen about the design that could turn out to be really disappointing... the truck is otherwise bombproof.

Mine were lubed, but there was a noticeable amount of space between the bulks. This leads me to believe that this was the cause of me shredding my ring gear...that and 3s double backflips off the wall!
