    revo with 4" tires awsome!

Ok, I had 4 of hpi ss monster wheels rear with proline gladiator tires already glued and thought I'll try them. I reversed the tranny, put the 28t pinion back on and let her rip, this thing is now a bad off roader. It is a little slower probably high 20s but I think it will handle a 31t pinion fine. I got about the same runtime I was getting with a 25t pinion and the stock tires using a 2s 2200mah lipo which was around 20-25 minutes. The wheel nuts just barely get into the nylon locking part but I did not have one come lose in two packs.

Anybody that needs more ground clearance, should try this, I was running it in our pasture with some tall grass and it was handling it good. The tires actually measured almost 4.2, it looked funny at first but it grows on you and I have change the steering servo to a hs-82mg just for insurance.

Pictures please. I have been waiting for some one to put some gladiartors or geolandars on. Did the tires also make it more stable?

I really don't get the point of massive tires on these things. I think some guys should have just bought a 1/10th scale instead of these minis.

jatotheripper, I had a brushless stampede and liked it but I like 4wd a lot better out here and until traxxas makes a 4wd stampede its work on this or run the e-maxx and I like the idea of charging two batteries and getting 45+ minutes of runtime. I will agree that the tires are to big and a tire around 3.6-3.7 inches would look better and still give some more clearance. I'd like to have a 1/16 summit.

Just got some JATTO 2.8" tires in the mail. They are about 4.1" OD. I can tell they are lighter than my slash tires. I may have to mill down the thickness of the hubs. If they work out well, I'll post part numbers.

im pretty sure traxxas will make a summit since is basically the exact same as the mini erevo except different gearing and long travel rockers thats the only difference o and maybe the wing and body mounts

The tips of the axles are flush with the nuts. I don't know if it is totally imperative that I have SOME thread showing or not. I think I'll run it with out modification until one of them flies off.

Haven't run them yet. Probably won't until Sunday :-/

I think I might forgo that, as well, until I have some adjustable rods because the stock camber is nuts.

How does the truck drive with the HPI MT2 Geolanders on it? I have the same wheels and I have been considering throwing them on just for fun.

Do you have any photos of the truck with the Geolanders on it?

My wheels are kind of hard to get at so I was just wondering if anyone had some helpful input before I wasted time doing something that others who have already tested it might have considered useless.

I run my HPI Ground Assaults (3.9") and 32g lighter than my gladiators. They work Great in grass or gravel. They are mounted on RPM Talons rims that work fine but only get four or five threads in the axle.
My tranny case is stock :D

Thanks a bunch for the info. If I am really bored one day I might just try throwing my Geolanders on for fun. I also have some road tires for my RS4MT that I might try out.

    Have fun driving everyone!

Tried the bowties on asphault today. HUGE traction. Sadly, popped a shock almost immediately, so that killed it quickly and I don't have time to repair. One of the wheels is way off balance. Need to look in to that.
