my esc's about to go out the window.

neither series or parallel adaptors are working, tried both batteries just by themselves, and nothing is working. it turns on and the steering work for about 5 seconds then it turns off.

i was JUST driving it earlier today and it was fine. the series connector just makes it blink red and green and i cant figure that out either, and ive already tried unplugging the esc from the reciever and plugging it back in.

what else can i do.

Try calling Traxxas support!!!!
They should be able to advise you
i would try disconeccting the steering servo maybe you have a bad steering servo?

Check your batteries!!!

Alternating; Blinks Red then Green: If
the motor has no power, the VXL-3m
has entered Over Voltage Protection.
If a battery with too high voltage is
used, the VXL-3m will go into a failsafe
mode. Warning: If input voltage exceeds
approximately 20 volts, the ESC may be
damaged. Maximum peak input voltage
limits are 12.6V in LiPo Mode (see page
17) and 18V in NiMH Mode.

Call Traxxas! If it's bad and still under warranty they will replace it or help you solve the problem if it's still good.

i got it working now, both batteries work alone and the parallel adaptor works but the series one just blinks red and green and i can only steer

Turn the LVC off I assume you are running 4s are you sure its not a series adaptor.

nevermind, i had the over voltage protection thing on. thank you tectic i didnt think about that.

well my ESC just went in a box and is about to be shipped out to traxxas tomorrow. Right now the main issue I’m having is that when the esc is installed and I attempt to run the truck it stutters and the esc gets extremely hot. After a minute or so the esc does nothing but blink red and the motor does not spin at all. I’ve tried three different batteries all with the same results

How hot? What batteries are you using?

i was using the stock battery and i had a pair of team orion 1600 batteries. it was hot to the point that you couldn't touch it

Thats funny the first time I ran my team Orion batteries in series it fried my ESC after only 3 minutes. Got so hot could barely touch the batteries or ESC, even after cooling as soon as battery was connect both battery and esc would get very hot after 10 seconds but it would do nothing else. Traxxas replaced under warranty.

What do you guys think of the Team Orion batts overall?
I am considering getting them or the pro-match batts.

love the batteries when the truck was working it did fly with those in there
