Comment:
It sounds like you have LiPo cutoff engaged, which only allows for 2S and/or 3S -- two batteries in series is too much voltage for the LiPo cutoff, triggering this problem...
If your connecting 2 2s in series so 4s thats what would happen, you have to put it in nimh mode
I got the same blinking light combo last night when I put two 1600 mah NiMh batteries in series. What is going on there?

If you take it out of lipo mode an run it will you just have to watch the temps an battery voltage.
