First, does it work?, second, what size do i use? i have one joint that keeps popping out and i am losing patience with it.

You probably saw this in another recent thread but yes, it's actually been done for a long time before 1/16th scale revos. The stuff shrinks (obviously) so i would use a piece that fits over the D/S by a couple of MM..
Keep flex'in those forum keyboard muscles.
Half inch diameter should work. I think...
HPI Savage LOSI Mini/MicroT, MRC Traxxas Revo VXL
i just want to make sure it's not going to harden and crack or tear with that much use.
heat shrink ushually shrinks to 1/2 its size so 1/2" heat shrink will do
do you do that on the driveshafts for the wheels or just the center drive shafts?
I ask because heat shrink tubing is pretty stiff when it's been shrunk and it seems like it wouldn't work well on universal joints that have to flex up and down a lot like the wheel drive shafts?
I didn't do the whole joint with 1 piece, but with 2, 1 smaller piece on each part of the joint. It flexes just as good with it, as without it.Originally Posted by candy76man

the wheel pivot points will work fine with heatshrink on them
