    Best brushless system for Stampede

Purchased one for me and my son. Looking to upgrade mine to brushless. What is the best system to go with. We drive them mainly on hard surface and the grass. From reading on here, leaning toward Castle 5700. Thanks for the help.

I like the Vxl for the torque in the stampede. The 5700 I like in my rustler and slash for higher speed. IMO both are great.

The sidewinder is a step down in price...not much.

Sidewinder doesn't come with the Castle Link connection. You would need to purchase that separately. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot of difference.

I will warn you that if you upgrade your truck to brushless, your son will not be happy with his truck anymore and will either a) want to drive yours all the time, or b) hound you mercilessly to make his truck brushless as well.

Ask me how I know this.

MM esc a great one, you can also get it with the 4600 motor. The lower KV motors seem to do better in the stampede. if you get the MM5700 it's hard to keep cool if you go 3s. if you are going to stay at 2s then gear the 5700 around 14/86-90 and you'll be able to run all day

The sidewinder can't handle as many amps as the MAX either... but they're both very nice.

I'm guessing this MM Pro+ and 5700 combo or the similar 4600 combo. No they aren't out yet, but the price point is nice, they will have a replaceable fan, and will be 6S capable. That's pretty stiff competition for anybody. I can't wait until Traxxas raises its game too.
